Description

Define the long-term goal and product strategy for the Core of Google Cloud Managed Lustre, prioritizing performance, scale, capacity, and ease of use. Translate market feedback into a definitive strategy and market-leading roadmap. Collaborate with our strategic partner, as well as Sales, Marketing, and Solutions Engineering teams to enable the field, refine product position. Collaborate closely with Engineering, Capacity Planning, Technical Program Manager, and SRE teams to deliver high-velocity feature launches across platforms that set the industry standard for performance and scale. Conduct market analysis and benchmarking across hyper-scalers, neo-clouds, and on-premises solutions to identify differentiation opportunities, ensuring our leadership remains unrivaled. Partner with the AI/ML and HPC customers to understand their workload challenges. Facilitate their onboarding and scaling while translating complex requirements into scalable, easy-to-consume product features.

In this role, you will work cross-functionally to guide products from conception to launch by connecting the technical and business worlds. You can break down complex problems into steps that drive product development.

As a Senior Product Manager, you will work in this high-moving environment and translate this momentum into a market-leading roadmap. You will define the future of high-performance storage, driving features that empower the next generation of AI innovation and help the AI/ML and HPC customers grow in Google Cloud.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $183,000-$271,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Qualifications

Minimum qualifications: Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.

8 years of experience in product management or related technical role.

3 years of experience taking technical products from conception to launch (e.g., ideation to execution, end-to-end, 0 to 1, etc). Experience in Cloud storage and the public cloud ecosystem including customer requirements, market trends, positioning.

Preferred qualifications: Master's degree in a technology or business related field.

Experience with high-performance parallel file systems or large-scale distributed storage systems. Experience managing infrastructure products within a public cloud environment. Experience managing products through growth phases (i.e., post-GA scaling), with the ability to navigate ambiguity and prioritize effectively in a fast-moving environment. Familiarity with the storage requirements of AI/ML workloads, accelerator and ML frameworks.

Extended Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.

8 years of experience in product management or related technical role.
