Description

Drive new instance types in Compute Engine including intercepting new technologies, roadmap planning, business growth forecasting, ecosystem, and customer adoption.

Manage the product strategy for VM Instance types, associated business outcomes, and presenting to key GCP leadership.

Work across hardware, software, operations, research and other product teams towards long-term product goals, and understanding the competitive industry trends and application ecosystems on where the innovation is happening for both workloads and hardware.

Provide data-driven insights to prioritize engineering initiatives and drive new capabilities in the foundational Compute Infrastructure layer (e.g., bare metal instance technologies, control plane, etc.). Collaborate with peers across all layers of the cloud stack including Engineering, Supply Chain, Finance, Business Operations.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $142,000-$211,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Qualifications

Minimum qualifications: Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.

5 years of experience in product management or related technical role.

2 years of experience developing or launching infrastructure products or technologies within networking, storage, compute hardware, databases, file systems, data analytics, cluster management, and other software infrastructure areas.

Preferred qualifications: Master's degree in a technology or business related field.

Experience in one or more of the following: compute architecture, data center infrastructure, CPU (x86/Arm) and I/O technologies, Cloud Infrastructure, Storage, with knowledge of the operational aspects of Cloud Servers and virtualization software.

Experience bringing tech products to market.

Knowledge of different workload requirements and their demands on the underlying infrastructure. Ability to communicate and influence decisions cross-functionally and at all levels of an organization.



Extended Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.

5 years of experience in product management or related technical role.

2 years of experience developing or launching infrastructure products or technologies within networking, storage, compute hardware, databases, file systems, data analytics, cluster management, and other software infrastructure areas.
