Description
Develop and own the product strategy for core cloud capabilities, and define and prioritize key capabilities that enable broad developer utility based on understanding of user needs, business impact, and technical architecture. Translate developer and platform needs into clear and well-defined product requirements. Create and maintain a detailed product roadmap and drive adoption of foundational cloud services and modern SDLC practices across different developer populations. Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders and partner teams to align on core platform dependencies. Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the scale and success of developer enablement via cloud capabilities, as well as use data to inform product decisions and drive continuous improvement in performance, security, and developer efficiency.At Google, we put our users first. In this role, you will work cross-functionally to guide products from conception to launch by connecting the technical and business worlds. You can break down complex problems into steps that drive product development.

Our team works closely with creative engineers, designers, marketers, etc. to help design and develop technologies that improve access to the world's information. We're responsible for guiding products throughout the execution cycle, focusing specifically on analyzing, positioning, packaging, promoting, and tailoring our solutions to our users.
In this role, you will drive the development of core capabilities that enable Google developers to seamlessly utilize Google’s entire technology stack, including Google Cloud Platform and Borg-based services, to build powerful applications with speed and efficiency. You will focus on establishing clear, secure, and performant pathways for service connection, data access, and unified credential management across the cloud and open ecosystems.
The Core team builds the technical foundation behind Google’s flagship products. We are owners and advocates for the underlying design elements, developer platforms, product components, and infrastructure at Google. These are the essential building blocks for excellent, safe, and coherent experiences for our users and drive the pace of innovation for every developer. We look across Google’s products to build central solutions, break down technical barriers and strengthen existing systems. As the Core team, we have a mandate and a unique opportunity to impact important technical decisions across the company.
The US base salary range for this full-time position is $156,000-$229,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Qualifications
Minimum qualifications: Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.5 years of experience in product management or related technical role.
3 years of experience as a Product Manager with a focus on developer tools or software development life-cycle. 2 years of experience taking technical products from conception to launch (e.g., ideation to execution, end-to-end, 0 to 1, etc).
Preferred qualifications: Master's degree in a technology or business related field.
3 years of experience in a business function or role (e.g., marketing, business operations, consulting). 3 years of experience in a role preparing and delivering technical presentations to executive leadership. 2 years of experience in software development or engineering.
2 years of experience working cross-functionally with engineering, UX/UI, sales finance, and other stakeholders.
Experience with cloud native design and architecture, modern SDLCs, and related developer tools and workflows.
Extended Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.5 years of experience in product management or related technical role.
3 years of experience as a Product Manager with a focus on developer tools or software development life-cycle. 2 years of experience taking technical products from conception to launch (e.g., ideation to execution, end-to-end, 0 to 1, etc).
