Description
Lead an organization of Customer Engineers who engage with customers to understand and assess customer requirements, prepare and present demonstrations of Google’s Cloud technologies, design future-state technical architectures, address and overcome technical issues that arise throughout the sales process and manage implementation and operations. Lead a team of ~50 Customer Engineers and Customer Engineering Managers. Manage an organization of Customer Engineers to meet quarterly and annual bookings objectives globally by focusing on enterprise companies. Meet with customers/prospects and participate directly in the key projects and accounts within the region. Work directly with customers to ensure optimized use of Google Cloud. Create activities and develop strategies to resolve technical impediments.When leading companies choose Google Cloud, it's a huge win for spreading the power of cloud computing globally. Once educational institutions, government agencies, and other businesses sign on to use Google Cloud products, you come in to facilitate making their work more productive, mobile, and collaborative. You listen and deliver what is most helpful for the customer. You assist fellow sales Googlers by problem-solving key technical issues for our customers. You liaise with the product marketing management and engineering teams to stay on top of industry trends and devise enhancements to Google Cloud products.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $269,000-$386,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Qualifications
Minimum qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience. 15 years of experience in a Technical Sales Engineering role in a cloud computing environment or equivalent experience in a customer facing technical/engineering role. Experience managing large teams (manager of managers).Preferred qualifications: MBA or Master's degree in Computer Science. 10 years of experience selling complex IT solutions to large companies, particularly within the target region with a clear progression to major leadership roles. Experience working with web/internet related technologies, architecture across SaaS, PaaS, IaaS, and cloud productivity suites, and knowledge of solution architecture within web and mobile environments. Ability to engage and influence both technical and non-technical audiences, from developer to CEO. Ability to lead with enthusiasm and flexibility in a fast-paced, constantly evolving team environment. Strong market reputation and actionable list of network contacts.
