Description
Define and execute multiyear sourcing strategies for OEM hardware and SI partners, driving TCO optimization. Own and lead high-value commercial negotiations (MSAs, pricing, capacity) with strategic suppliers. Serve as the primary commercial owner for OEM/SI partners, fostering executive relationships and mitigating supply chain risks. Expertise in managing the complete hardware product lifecycle, including NPI strategy, technology transition planning, and End-of-Life (EOL) management. Manage supplier performance using KPIs/SLAs, lead QBRs, and ensure contractual adherence.Google's projects, like our users, span the globe and require managers to keep the big picture in focus while being able to dive into the unique engineering challenges we face daily. As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you lead complex, multi-disciplinary engineering projects using your engineering expertise. You plan requirements with internal customers and usher projects through the entire project lifecycle. This includes managing project schedules, identifying risks and clearly communicating them to project stakeholders. You're equally at home explaining your team's analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the technical trade-offs in product development with engineers.
Using your extensive technical and leadership expertise, you manage various Engineering-specific programs and teams.
As a Senior Leadership Technical Program Manager, you will be crucial to powering Google Distributed Cloud (GDC) by developing and executing an intelligent, scalable, and resilient supply chain for its hardware foundation, which extends Google's infrastructure to customer data centers and edge locations. You will connect innovation to execution by leading the end-to-end global sourcing strategy, building trusted partnerships and accelerating time-to-market for high-value Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) hardware (including compute, network, and storage) and System Integration (SI) partners. This involves owning all commercial and contractual relationships with a strategic supplier portfolio, driving significant cost optimization, and actively mitigating critical supply chain risks to ensure secure, scalable, and sustainable distributed cloud deployments globally.Google Cloud accelerates every organization’s ability to digitally transform its business and industry. The US base salary range for this full-time position is $227,000-$320,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Qualifications
Minimum qualifications: Bachelor's degree in a technical field or equivalent practical experience.10 years of experience in strategic sourcing or category management within the technology or hyperscale industry.

Preferred qualifications: 10 years of experience managing cross-functional/team projects.
Experience supporting the GDC ecosystem or similar highly customized, distributed, or hybrid cloud hardware deployment models. Expertise in managing the complete hardware product lifecycle, including NPI strategy, technology transition planning, and End-of-Life (EOL) management.
