Description
Define and execute the end-to-end technical content and go-to-market strategy for builders, ensuring a cohesive and high-impact presence. Lead the creation of innovative technical demos, tutorials, and "Hello World" experiences that help builders overcome adoption blockers. Influence product roadmaps by acting as a trusted partner to Engineering and Product teams, using feedback and technical expertise. Manage a multi-disciplinary team of technical marketers, fostering a culture that pioneers fresh approaches to technical education.Whether you're on a consumer product (like Gmail, Search, Maps, Chrome, Android) or a business product (Google Ads, AdSense, Google Marketing Platform, Analytics), you take part in a complete marketing experience as you lead every facet of the product's journey. From determining positioning, naming, competitive analysis, feature prioritization and external communications, you help shape the product and help it grow a consumer base. This means you work with a cross-functional team across Sales, corporate communications, legal, webmasters, product development, engineering and more. In this role, you'll be involved with product marketing strategy from beginning to end.
As the Head of Developer Technical Content PMM, you will lead the goal for how we educate and inspire the global builder community through high-quality, technical content. You will be at the forefront of the dramatic shift in how software is built and distributed, particularly in the era of AI. We are looking for a technical leader with a strong background in Technical Marketing or Developer Relations (DevRel) who can bridge the gap between product engineering and the builder community.
You do not just lead the content coming out of the Product Marketing organization; you will build narratives that resonate with skeptical technical audiences, prioritizing technical utility and trust over traditional marketing. You will lead a high-performing team to define the content strategy, craft compelling messaging, and create assets that help developers succeed with Google Cloud and AI products. This is a collaborative leadership role requiring deep technical depth, audience empathy, and the ability to translate complex features into benefit-driven value propositions.
