Description
Manage end-to-end sustaining supply chains for legacy GPU programs, tracking performance schedules, repairs, and sourcing deliverables. Lead engineering, quality, and technical teams through roadmap shifts, warranty evaluations, and critical issue resolutions. Partner with finance and sourcing to substantiate expenditures, optimize repair and warranty budgets, and execute contract amendments. Drive the supplier scorecard process, synthesizing cross-functional feedback to enforce accountability and action on negotiated agreements. Co-develop a structured rhythm of business (RoB) to optimize workloads, reporting, and strategic sourcing operations.Commodity Managers work with Engineering teams to make sure Google has the supplies and equipment to put into production the innovative products coming from our Engineering teams. As a Commodity Manager, you use your wide industry knowledge and strategic supplier relationships to optimize our total cost of ownership for our global -- and growing -- infrastructure. The scale at which Google operates means that savings on just one piece of hardware can have a huge impact on Google's bottom line.
Google Cloud’s Infrastructure Supply Chain and Manufacturing (ISM) organization is looking for a Global Commodity Manager (GCM) to join the GPU Strategic Sourcing team.
In this role, you will be responsible for managing in a fast-paced environment multiple work streams to deeply contribute to GPU sourcing, planning, NPI, sustaining, and repair. You will need to multitask with multiple internal and external teams and be able to deliver highly organized communications to both leadership and peers.The AI and Infrastructure team is redefining what’s possible. Individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
US: $159000 - $230000 (USD) + 15% bonus target + equity + benefits

Qualifications
Minimum qualifications: Bachelor's degree in a technical or engineering field or equivalent practical experience. 7 years of experience in sourcing, commodity management, supply chain operations, or procurement within the hardware, semiconductor, or cloud infrastructure industry. Experience in program management leading corporate-wide hardware deployment, sustaining operations, warranty evaluations, or repair workstreams.Preferred qualifications: Master's degree or MBA in a technical or engineering field. Experience working directly with GPUs, compute accelerators, or graphics silicon in a sourcing, manufacturing, or supply chain capacity. Experience managing sustaining programs, hardware repair operations, warranty claims, or reverse logistics. Experience collaborating with finance on cost justification, spend analysis, or commercial contract amendments. Experience establishing and managing supplier scorecard processes, supplier performance reviews, and contract amendments for compute hardware. Track record of building operational frameworks, rhythm of business (RoB) workflows, or live performance tracking mechanisms in fast-paced environments.
