Description

Develop a vision and strategy, and collaborate with stakeholders, cross-functional partners, and engineering to offer a coherent roadmap for end-users and our internal partners. Work across product, engineering, and cross-functional teams to define, build, and support GIE products.

Drive decisions around cross-Google experience prioritization and functionality.

Recruit, mentor, and lead the product team. Influence and establish best product management practices and decisions through comprehensive market and competitor analysis, solid design decisions, processes and tools, and inspiring thought leadership.

The Google Identity and Engagement (GIE) team is dedicated to creating the most trusted and seamless way to unlock the world and experience the best of Google every day. The team focuses on three key areas: Access, Identity, and Ecosystem Growth.

Access empowers users to stay securely signed in across all their devices and platforms, ensuring seamless access to both Google and third-party services.

Identity focuses on earning users’ trust to help them progressively build their identity in order to enjoy more personalized experiences.

Ecosystem Growth focuses on fostering a connected and cohesive Google product ecosystem, enabling users to experience the full value of Google every day.

As the Product Management Director, you will earn users’ trust to help them progressively build their identity with Google Account and enjoy personalized experiences.

The Core team builds the technical foundation behind Google’s flagship products. We are owners and advocates for the underlying design elements, developer platforms, product components, and infrastructure at Google. These are the essential building blocks for excellent, safe, and coherent experiences for our users and drive the pace of innovation for every developer. We look across Google’s products to build central solutions, break down technical barriers and strengthen existing systems. As the Core team, we have a mandate and a unique opportunity to impact important technical decisions across the company.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $253,000-$363,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Qualifications

Minimum qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, related field, or equivalent practical experience.

15 years of experience in product development related roles.

5 years of technical leadership experience building/leading distributed, global teams.

Preferred qualifications: Experience building highly cross-functional teams and influencing without authority.

Experience building new product experiences with clear product market fit.

Experience growing participation and engagement in large-scale products.

Experience in consumer focused product development and understanding in-depth customer/user requirements.

Experience building experiences that earn people’s and regulators’ trust, including understanding of privacy-safe transport, storage, and AI.

Demonstrated track record in building new consumer experiences that earn users’ trust and leading cross-organizational programs.



Extended Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, related field, or equivalent practical experience.

15 years of experience in product development related roles.

5 years of technical leadership experience building/leading distributed, global teams.
