Description

Serve as a product leader, building, managing and executing a product vision, strategy, and road map to support two products primed for significant growth.

Work closely with the Gmail and Discover consumer teams to drive a joint organic product strategy that adds value to users, not just advertisers.

Synthesize and drive product strategy from interactions with business stakeholders to our Legal and Policy teams.

Partner closely with cross-functional teams across Google Ads to advocate for and execute your vision.

Manage a team of Product Management professionals in partnership with an engineering and user experience organization. Mentor and help the team grow into positions of influence and scale.

Google has two of the world’s biggest ad-supported properties in Search and YouTube. But we also have two smaller properties with tremendous headroom as businesses in their own right: Gmail and the Discover feed (aka Google Feed). As the Director of Product Management you will lead the Discover and Gmail Ads businesses. You will own the product road map for delivering the best possible ads experience for users, and the greatest possible value for advertisers. Both surfaces are in growth mode, and you will be responsible for the entire user-side experience, from auction and quality to inventory and formats. You will lead a team of 7+ product managers and will ultimately be responsible to grow the combined business.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $253,000-$363,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Qualifications

Minimum qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, related field, or equivalent practical experience

15 years of experience in product management or related acumen, including conceiving products, launching, building and growing multiple products, and creating, executing, and delivering against a product road map

10 years of experience building and scaling successful consumer products such as Ads or Search

Experience managing and mentoring a team and working with cross-functional and cross-product area partners

Experience in quality, ranking, measurement or analytics products

Preferred qualifications: Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or related field

Experience building and managing online advertising products, working in enterprise or consumer ecosystems, and liaising with cross-functional partners

Exceptional writing and communications skills, and ability to oversee the shipping of high-visibility and complex products with high impact

Technical proficiency, with a demonstrated track record of working closely with engineering partners and converting complex technical concepts to technical and business audiences

Demonstrated track record of success in the full life cycle of product management: product vision and road maps



Extended Qualifications
