Description
Be responsible for delivering the overall strategy, technical roadmap, execution and support of SSD based storage infrastructure for all GCE instances. Drive the roadmap, and oversee the smooth execution and delivery of storage-optimized instance family of products and related business outcomes. Own and drive storage offloads strategy and roadmap, as well as its execution across several teams across Google. Engage with and support the global customer base for both storage-optimized instances, as well as any other instances with SSDs attached. Manage, grow, and deliver through a geographically distributed team.Google’s AI and Infrastructure (AI2) organization’s mission is to empower customers with breakthrough capabilities and insights by delivering AI and Infrastructure at unparalleled scale, efficiency, reliability, and velocity. We build the foundation behind Google and Google Cloud’s compute and AI/ML offerings. We manage the underlying design elements, developer platforms, product components, and infrastructure.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $294,000-$414,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Qualifications
Minimum qualifications: 15 years of experience in software engineering.10 years of experience in SSD storage domain or technologies directly related to storage.
Preferred qualifications: Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or a related field. Experience with Google Cloud platform or any other major cloud provider. Experience with SSD technology, NVME protocol, and storage offloads in general.
Extended Qualifications
15 years of experience in software engineering.10 years of experience in SSD storage domain or technologies directly related to storage.
