Description
Deliver full pieces of complex projects that are integrated into an overarching compensation program (e.g., new hire compensation) with minimal assistance. Plan and execute prioritized project work by managing competing priorities and tight deadlines. Work within teams to communicate knowledge related to a broad set of tasks. Identify key stakeholders to build a network and contribute to cross-team collaboration. Conduct analysis, scoping, modeling, designing, and synthesizing of internal and external data findings into future state recommendations. Provide guidance to client or partner organizations to most effectively achieve short-term compensation objectives that have a significant impact on the organization. Present information to inform and educate compensation team members and client/partner organizations internally and externally to People Operations (POps). As a Compensation Analyst, you will be working closely with other Compensation Analysts, managers, HR Business Partners, and Recruiting teams to solve compensation-related business problems.
Combining data and feedback from our Googlers with the latest industry research, you will make large-scale, data-driven decisions that impact Googlers in a meaningful way.
The US base salary range for this full-time position is $120,000-$172,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Qualifications
Minimum qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Economics, Statistics, Business Administration, or another field that uses quantitative analysis, or equivalent practical experience. 5 years of experience in analytical human resources, investment banking, management consulting (e.g., strategy, compensation), or similar analytical role. Experience using analytical methods, tools, and mathematical concepts to identify, design, recommend, and implement compensation solutions. Experience with human resources policies, practices, principles, state and federal employment laws, and related regulations.Preferred qualifications: Demonstrated spreadsheet skills, and familiarity with other statistical packages. Client-service orientated, with attention to detail and ability to prioritize and work well in an environment with competing demands. Interest in analyzing data, and the ability to see beyond the numbers to drive sound decision-making. Demonstrated written and verbal communications skills.
