Description

Identify and prioritize opportunities to make the career development solution optimally helpful to Googlers across a wide range of individual career journeys. Define the strategy and business requirements for AI-powered career development personalization, including for users in a manager or leader role. Translate ambiguous user needs and high-level strategy into concrete business requirements, functional specifications, and user journey maps. Foster strong partnerships across the POps ecosystem and product management, UX, and engineering partners. Serve as a trusted spokesperson for the product, including supporting product demonstrations to key stakeholders and users.

You'll be an advocate of Google's culture and values, partnering with our business leaders to help them build their organizations and make sure all people decisions are based on data. Whether coaching our clients on how to lead their teams, navigating and resolving employee relations issues or managing programs that help develop our Googlers, you are exceptionally focused on putting them first, and being as clear and transparent as possible to help Googlers understand how people decisions get made.

People Operations (POps) products will deliver talent and career solutions for Googlers, managers and leaders, equipping Google to lead in the AI era and beyond. Our ability to deliver career development Critical User Journeys (CUJs), attract talent, tap into organizational agility and have a total talent view are paramount to building an extraordinary mission-first Google.

As a Career Development Strategist, you will be critical to driving the next evolution of the career development platform from Minimum Viable Product (MVP) to true product-market fit. You will own driving the business requirements for hyper personalization and complex user journeys, like managers and leaders. Working at the intersection of People Strategy, Product, and UX, you will shape and deliver deeply personalized functionality to ensure our solutions are helpful to a wide range of users.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $165,000-$245,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Qualifications

Minimum qualifications: Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience. 8 years of experience in consulting, product management, or HR. Experience translating user insights into product requirements or digital solutions. Experience in managing products or projects from ideation to implementation, tracking and reporting out on metrics.

Preferred qualifications: 3 years of experience working as a manager. Experience building AI-powered tools for employees or consumers. Expertise in career development frameworks and psychometrics. Knowledge of applying AI to product development. Ability to influence as a part of cross-functional teams, effectively managing competing priorities and ensuring alignment. Ability to adapt to pivoting strategies and requirements based on user insights and rapidly evolving technical capabilities.

Extended Qualifications
