Description

Advise on regulations that may impact cloud products across areas such as privacy, Artificial Intelligence (AI), competition, content, financial services and data use. Work closely with legal and compliance teams across Google to understand Google compliance strategy and advocate for cloud product compliance strategy. Advise compliance and product teams with an appropriate risk assessment. Advise commercial teams globally on customer concerns regarding compliance and assist with agreement negotiations as needed. Work closely with other stakeholders and counsel to collaboratively develop strategies.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $210,000-$312,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Qualifications

Minimum qualifications: JD, LL.B. or equivalent degree or equivalent practical experience. 3 years of attorney-level experience in government, in-house or at a law firm. Experience with working regulations in several of the following regulatory areas such as privacy, data use, AI, competition, content and financial services. Admitted to the bar and in good standing or otherwise authorized to practice law (e.g., have registered in-house status) in the state in which the position is located.

Preferred qualifications: Experience directly advising enterprise or cloud companies. Experience in utilizing AI tools to streamline and scale legal support. Ability to support new and emerging regulations and flexibility to develop expertise on first of a kind issues. Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment and explain legal issues clearly and concisely to non-legal stakeholders. Excellent problem-solving, organizational and communication skills.

Extended Qualifications
