Description

Discuss, draft, and structure enterprise Cloud customer agreements, with a focus on cloud services, AI, data privacy, cybersecurity, professional services, IP, and regulatory terms, and other agreements as needed. Advise Cloud business executives and leads on agreement strategy, legal and business risks, agreement interpretation, regulatory issues, and other transaction and customer relationship matters. Collaborate closely with stakeholder teams across Global Affairs and Cloud (agreement pursuit, accounting, compliance, and others) to drive growth and support responsible agreement making. Promote the continuous improvement of Cloud agreement making through resource and fallback creation and programmatic enhancements.

The US Cloud Legal Strategic Industries go-to-market (GTM) team supports dynamic and fast growing enterprise Google Cloud businesses across many areas of the Cloud business organization, including in the financial services, healthcare, telco, media, entertainment and retail sectors. We provide expert guidance and solutions to help Google Cloud navigate the rapidly evolving legal and regulatory landscape of the cloud technology market, tailored to the unique requirements of our products, businesses, customers, and partners. In this role, you will be involved in a wide range of transactional work, including outbound cloud services, AI, data privacy, cybersecurity, professional services, intellectual property, and regulatory matters. You will advise Cloud business executives and leads on legal and other risks, agreement interpretation issues, and strategy. You will also drive programmatic improvements to Cloud agreement making through the development of improved resources and processes, helping the Cloud business continue to scale.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $210,000-$312,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Qualifications

Minimum qualifications: JD, LL.B., equivalent degree, or equivalent practical experience. Admitted to the bar and in good standing or otherwise authorized to practice law (e.g., have registered in-house status) in the state in which the position is located.

3 years of attorney-level experience in government, in-house, or at a law firm. Experience discussing cloud services and other technology agreements.

Preferred qualifications: Experience directly supporting an enterprise business team. Knowledge of AI, data privacy, cybersecurity, IP, professional services, and regulatory matters relevant to enterprise cloud transactional legal work. Knowledge of laws and regulations as they apply to the use of cloud services in the financial services and healthcare industries. Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team. Excellent problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to explain legal issues clearly and concisely to non-legal stakeholders. Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple agreements and projects simultaneously in a changing environment.

Extended Qualifications

JD, LL.B., equivalent degree, or equivalent practical experience. Admitted to the bar and in good standing or otherwise authorized to practice law (e.g., have registered in-house status) in the state in which the position is located.
