The Boeing Company’s Workday Human Capital Management (HCM) and Security organization is seeking a Workday HCM Configuration Lead to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic team focused on delivering valuable functionality to the Boeing HR organization. This position can be located in Everett, WA, Arlington, VA, Charleston, SC, Chicago, IL, Houston, TX, Huntsville, AL, Long Beach, CA, El Segundo, CA, Mesa, AZ, Renton, WA, Ridley Park, PA, Berkeley, MO, or Hazelwood, MO.

The Workday Human Capital Management (HCM) Configuration Lead will be a Servant Leader championing our Development Operations (Workday Development) mindset, culture, and process/technical practices. This individual will support practices in communication, integration, and automation, and model close cooperation among all those needed to plan, develop, test, deploy, release, and maintain a solution.

The ideal applicant for this role will have previous proven experience with Workday implementation and post-implementation optimization, as well as a sound understanding of HR processes and operational framework. The ideal applicant will also have proven success in partnering with HR leaders to iterate and optimize Workday tools to deliver solutions that drive the organization forward and provide excellent end-user experiences.

The selected applicant will have a User-Centered Design/Human-Centered Design mindset and experience empathizing with users and developing problem statements that address the needs of our various employee personas. Within our Workday Development model, the Workday HCM Configuration Lead must have a solid grasp of Workday Development and understand how to break down organizational silos.

Position Responsibilities:

Provide Functional Analysis in support of Workday Development teamsPartnering with Domain Leads and Business to support and/or lead the analysis of problems, evaluating change requests, impact analysisFormulate and develop new and/or optimized business requirements, process and functional improvements on capabilities, and solutions aligned to enterprise strategiesSupport business case studies for technology developmentsDevelop a continuous delivery pipeline through the escalation of impediments, ensuring value delivery, and driving relentless improvementProvide subject matter Testing and Data Management Support for critical projectsCoordinate with business and technology teams, integrating system and data requirementsImprove efficiency and practices associated with Workday Development and Release on Demand in the Continuous Delivery PipelineProvide Workday Operational supportSupport recurring operational events and actionsSupport Workday product offerings (HCM, Payroll, Recruiting, Adaptive Planning, Extend, etc.) along with some legacy HR applicationsExecute events in Workday, as well as EIBs and mass operation moves to support the eventsUtilize core understanding of Workday Security Model, design and redesignResearch, identify, and recommend industry best practices for solving business technology problemsPartner across teams to provide analysis of Workday feature/functionality researchCollaborate with Business Process Architects, HR COEs, and IT to assess change impacts for incoming work requestsSupport the Workday Adoption Roadmap processDrive an operational model that efficiently and effectively influences Workday functionality uptake by leveraging brainstorms, design partners, early adopters, and other customer product management optionsProvide Post-Production SupportProvide Hypercare leadership and support for major releases of new capabilitiesPartner with IT in the administration and monitoring of systems post-implementationExperience with data privacy and experience working with legal, global privacy, and IDAM teamsSupport change management and training of deployed systemsUser Centered Design (UCD) leadership and coachingPartner with cross-functional teams to establish and enhance existing UCD culture, processes, and methodsLead processes associated with User Centered Design, especially related to the design and evaluation stages of design processesDrive continuous improvement of employee experience through aligning/optimizing HR technologies to employee needsHelp drive the Lean User Experience (UX) innovation cycleDevelop and coach team membersFacilitate open communication and fact-based decision makingAssist with economic decision-making through feature and capability estimation

This position is hybrid. This means that the selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at one of the listed location options. This is at the hiring team’s discretion and could potentially change in the future.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

5+ years of experience configuring, implementing, and administering Workday functionality5+ years of experience in Requirements Management5+ years of experience with requirements-based testing

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

Bachelor's degree or higherOne or more of the following Workday Partner/Customer Certifications: Workday Absence, Benefits, Compensation/Advanced Compensation, Recruiting, Time Tracking, HCM Core, Performance and/or Talent3+ years of experience in a role that required Project Management skillsExperience developing and implementing process improvementsExperience in design thinking, user centered design, human centered design

Summary pay range: $154,700 - $209,300
