The USAF E-7 program is seeking a dynamic USAF E-7 Safety and Mission Assurance Manager to lead the System Safety and Mission Assurance teams responsible for the USAF E-7 program at our site in Tukwila, WA.

This individual will be responsible for ensuring the safety and airworthiness of the program across entire life cycle, from conceptual development into design and test, production and sustainment of the fielded aircraft. This individual will demonstrate the attributes of a Boeing manager leading teams and motivating people to work together.

This position leads and manages a team of 11 employees at the Developmental Center site in Tukwila, WA.

Primary responsibilities:

Manage employees performing engineering and technical activities in the area of System Safety and Mission AssuranceDevelop and execute project and process plans, implement policies and procedures and set operational goalsAcquire resources for projects and processes, provide technical management of suppliers and lead process improvementsDevelop and maintain relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reportsProvide oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processesEstablish and evaluate personnel performance; coach, plan, organize individuals; and oversee process/project/program activities and accreditation standardManage, develop and motivate employees

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills and Experience):

Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement5+ years of experience in systems, mechanical, electrical and/or software engineering1+ years of experience with commercial or military aircraft programs

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills and Experience):

5+ years of experience in systems and safety engineering5+ years of experience leading teamsUnderstanding of Airworthiness Requirements ComplianceExperience with Commercial Derivative Aircraft Platforms and SystemsExperience managing projects and associated project risks and be committed to balancing program risksTechnical experience in system/unit requirements definition, implementation, validation, and verification, and in emerging technology and avionics/electrical/human engineering standards

Summary Pay Range: $151,300 - $204,700
