Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is looking for early career Tool Engineers to join our Fabrication Division in Auburn, WA and Frederickson, WA.

A successful candidate in this role will have passion, creativity, and an insatiable desire for process improvement and efficiency. They will also have a strong desire to be out on the production floor, interacting with mechanics, safety, and tool makers, and directly supporting the production system. In Production Engineering, we need highly responsible professionals committed to upholding the highest standards of safety, quality, and integrity.

This position is a Production Engineering role and requires direct interfacing with the people and equipment on the production floor. A typical day could include:

Spending up to 8 hours on feet standing/walking on the production floorClimbing ladders or stairs to access equipmentWorking at heights or in tight spacesWearing required PPE

Our teams are currently hiring for a broad range of experience levels including Entry and Associate Engineers.

Primary Responsibilities:

Design, analyze and modify aerospace manufacturing equipment and tooling to meet stakeholder requirementsCreate fully developed tool drawings to include all applicable dimensions, notes, and bill of materialsConduct all applicable design reviews with stakeholdersPerform tool liaison activities to support tool fabrication activities and production use

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/ Experience):

Entry Level: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics, or chemistryAssociate Level: Bachelor's degree and typically 2 or more years’ related engineering work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. Master's degree)

Preferred qualifications:

Knowledge of and experience with CATIA V5 or similar 3D design softwareKnowledge of and experience with basic tool drawing layout, including incorporation of GD&TKnowledge of and experience with software such as Visual Basic and Python for task automationKnowledge of and experience with tool automation

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

Summary pay range for Entry Level (Level 1): $66,300 - $89,700

Summary pay range for Associate Level (Level 2): $81,600 - $110,400
