Find your future with us.The Boeing Global Service (BGS) P-8 Modification Integration Team (PMIT) is currently hiring for a broad range of experience levels including Mid-Level or Senior System Logistics Integrators in Tukwila, Washington. PMIT is an engineering team dedicated to execution of post-production P-8 modifications, including capability improvements, obsolescence impact mitigation, and other sustainment-adjacent activities. The team’s expertise spans supply chain, engineering, lean projects, operations, and U.S. government contract development.
This exciting role will work with cross-functional stakeholders and partners to help develop and implement procurement and product-support strategies for post-production P-8 modification programs. The P-8 modification programs have multiple concurrent procurement and product-support activities which the selected candidate will be responsible for integrating and monitoring to ensure timely delivery and sustainment. This individual will work closely with the supply chain teams in both Boeing Defense, Security and Space (BDS) and BGS to create an effective long-term strategy for modification part procurement for domestic and international P-8 customers, leveraging strategic opportunities to partner with P-8 production.
This position places a heavy emphasis on creative problem-solving, strong leadership, data analysis, and frequent interactions with internal stakeholders and technical subject matter experts with the goal of delivering superior capability to our customers. The cross-functional nature of this position requires strong written and oral communication. Enthusiasm, a strong collaborative drive, working knowledge of program management principles, understanding of supply chain processes and tools, product support processes, cross-functional collaboration, and independent decision-making skills are highly desired.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in supply chain with the ability to effectively execute multiple projects simultaneously in partnership with suppliers, BGS, and BDS stakeholders as part of a geographically dispersed team. The P-8 is a military derivative of the successful 737 Next Generation (NG) aircraft and is utilized by aviators to conduct patrol and reconnaissance activities around the world.
Position Responsibilities
Develop overall procurement strategy, schedules, and integration plans for P-8 modification executionCollaborate with procurement agents, supply chain partners, contracts, estimating, and other key functional partners to enable seamless execution of procurement requirementsProactively identify risks/issues and escalate potential mitigation plansServe as a primary Boeing focal point to connect suppliers with Boeing resources to drive timely resolution of requests and issues, including technical and engineering requests (i.e. Technical Supplier Information Requests (TSIRs)), Notices of Escapements (NOEs), Non-Conformances (NCRs), and Manufacturing Revision Requests (MRRs)Build relationships with critical suppliers to enable risk mitigation, resolve obsolescence issues, and recover schedule to ensure timely delivery of parts, safety stock, and spares to P-8 modification facility and customersIntegrate across teams to provide formal customer-facing status updates, prepare and deliver presentations and status reviews, and escalate key issuesWork to resolve logistics challenges associated with delivering parts to various P-8 sites, including international locationsLead cross-business unit collaboration between BGS and BDS to find opportunities for synergy and efficiency within the supply chainCollaborate with engineering teams to ensure procurement plans and schedules are aligned with most current technical data and change management processesSupport cost estimating and proposal activities by coordinating data collection and process execution
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
3+ years of experience working with Procurement, Supplier Management, Supply Chain, Material Management and/or Logistics processesExperience working with Boeing Supply Chain tools and processesExperience developing and managing strong relationships with partners (internal & external) and suppliersExperience delivering technical presentations to executive teamsAbility to travel domestically and internationally 25% of the time
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
5+ years of higher education and/or related work experience (Higher education includes college, university, technical school, licensing/certification programs, etc) Active U.S. Security ClearanceBachelor’s degree or higher in Engineering or a related field1+ years of experience working with procurement, contracts, and/or procurement agents supporting execution of purchase actions and supplier engagements1+ years of experience with military commercial derivative aircraft development, production, training, or support1+ years of experience working on defense acquisitions subject to TINA regulationsExperience with supplier relationship management, risk/obsolescence mitigation, and schedule recovery actionsExperience supporting customer-facing status updates/reviews and preparing presentations for internal/external stakeholders in a dynamic, fast-paced environmentExperience with a variety of contract types under DoD prime contractsExperience with Change/Configuration ManagementExperience with export and global trade controls
