Boeing Defense Space and Security is seeking a Systems Architect (Mid Level or Lead) to develop aircraft configuration and systems architectures for next generation air refueling applications in the Puget Sound area in support of major development programs. The position provides an opportunity to work with an experienced, interdisciplinary team to develop unique systems to meet challenging requirements on air refueling development programs.

Our team works all facets of engineering from technology investment, concept development, proposal writing, requirements and design, build, integration, test, and demonstration of products in their relevant environments.

This is a union represented position.

Position Responsibilities:

Develop new and modify existing modeling and simulation tools to help with the systems architecture and configuration

Developing a model-based architecture that represents aircraft configurations for various customers and production block points

Work with customers, Boeing leadership, and software & systems engineers to translate high level customer requirements into specific work packages and detailed hardware & software requirements.

Work engineering design teams (air refueling systems, structures, wiring, vision systems and mission system design teams) to refine and mature architecture over the course of program milestones

Work closely with production teams, supply chain, contracts, finance and program management to integrate configuration into the existing production system

Lead the technical proposal development activity on behalf of the program

Create and mature proposal playbook to drive commonality and efficiency on proposal responses

Create processes to ensure repeatability across several proposal types and campaigns

Communicate architectures and configurations across engineering teams

Develop data-based observations and recommendations that will be presented to senior leadership.

Engage in new business pursuits including white papers and proposals.

This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S Secret Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship. (An interim and/or final U.S. Secret clearance Post Start is required).

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the listed location.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science

4+ years in aerospace or related field

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

Working knowledge of model-based systems engineering concepts and practices (e.g. SysML, Cameo)

Architecture development experience

Proposal writing experience

Derivative aircraft development experience

Summary Pay Range:

Mid-Level: $104,550 - $141,450

Expert: $128,350 - $173,650
