Find your future with us.Boeing's Safety, Security, & Airworthiness (SSA) organization is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer – Compliance/Certification to join their Regulatory Administration System Oversight Team within Regulatory Administration and Airworthiness in Everett, WA.
Primary responsibilities:
Leads the identification, analysis, and assessment of regulatory and contractual compliance of aerospace systems, products and services.Leads collaboration with internal and external stakeholders to define, validate, and integrate airworthiness and regulatory compliance requirements; incorporates into designs, operations, and procedures.Reviews complex regulatory and customer requirements and evaluates impact to company products and services.Leads analysis of regulatory and certification technical data for completeness and alignment to applicable regulatory and contractual requirements.Leads development of a compliance statement for the airworthiness of aerospace systems and products.Researches, investigates and monitors compliance processes or reported in-service fleet issues for achieving regulatory compliance and recommends and leads process improvements or corrective actions.Engages with regulators on complex programs or initiatives to shape certification strategies, approaches, activities, and artifacts.Partners with regulatory authorities to complete validation of airworthiness to applicable requirements as authorized.Provides advanced technical support, training, tools and resources to the delegated approval organization.Develops, reviews, and maintains complex compliance reports and documents in accordance with applicable requirements and regulations.Leads establishing and promoting global regulatory advocacy strategies, trainings, tools, and methods.
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite in Everett, WA.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills and Experience):
9+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experienceBachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science8+ years of experience working across the certification value stream.Experience working in International Type Validation and/or Operational Certification4+ years of experience with certification processes to comply with 14 CFR 21.93, 21.95 and 21.97Systems thinker capable of making engineering proposals based on data analysis and forecasting wide reaching and longer-term impactsExperience developing presentations and presenting to multiple levels of an organizationExperience investigating and finding solutions to complex technical or regulatory issuesStrong technical writing abilitiesExperience extracting and compiling data from multiple sources3+ years of experience with analytics tools including: Tableau, SQL, R, and Python
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills and Experience):
8+ years of experience identifying key stakeholder project specific requirements and scope, then building and managing project plans8+ years of experience in business intelligence/data analytics tools (Microsoft Power BI, Dashboards, SQL, Tableau, etc.)Experience with systems engineering and integration of complex systemsExperience with Risk ManagementExperience with audit activitiesExperience with Functional DecompositionFirsthand experience with airplane requirements

Summary Pay Range: $129,700 - $174,80
