Find your future with us.Boeing Information Digital Technology & Security (IDT&S) is seeking a Senior System Design & Integration Specialist to join the team in either Seattle, WA; Chicago, IL; Fairfax, VA; Kent, WA; Hazelwood, MO; Mesa, AZ; Miami, FL; North Charleston, SC; Portland, OR; or Huntsville, AL.
The selected candidate will support the Infrastructure, Technology, and Operations (IT&O) organization, which is responsible for providing infrastructure and digital workplace solutions, focused on supporting communication and business requirements that are aligned to achieving Boeing’s efficient business outcomes. This includes technology, products and services focused on networking, cloud computing, high performance computing, data storage, database, specialized and complex hosting, data center management, service management, disaster recovery, factory automation, mobile, voice, help desk, Information Technology (IT) site operations, conference and collaboration in support of the Digital Enterprise and data analytics.
Position Responsibilities:
Leads and supports the integration of the strategic plans for hosting functions
Acts as primary project contact to establish key stakeholder requirements and project objectives
Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with strategy customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports
Brings an industry perspective to develop solutions to complex problems
Identifies, evaluates and documents enterprise-wide, complex computing system requirements
Understands technology infrastructure (e.g. Data Centers, Cloud Infrastructure, Networking, Storage & Databases)
Evaluates product usability, affordability, functionality, security and performance to assess suitability for integration into delivery system environments
Provides technical strategy and consultation for the implementation and usage of hosting delivery systems
Negotiates enterprise-wide tech stack project scope
Establishes project technical standards and deliverables
Identifies and negotiates for necessary resources to meet project goals
Leads activities to identify project risks and develop mitigation plans
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
10+ years of experience with hosting products including compute, storage, database, and/or systems integration
10+ years of experience leading initiatives that require Automation and/or Artificial Intelligence
10+ years of experience in enterprise architecture, including but not limited to cloud architecture, security, data privacy, integration, and deployment
10+ years of experience designing and implementing solutions (e.g. client/server, storage, network, cloud, information security concepts, etc.)
10+ years of experience analyzing and presenting data
10+ years of experience working with cross-functional or cross-organizational teams to develop and/or support IT project plans and schedules
10+ years of experience working with senior leaders/executives to communicate strategic plans and objectives
10+ years of experience with Information Technology (IT) products and services
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Bachelor’s Degree or higher
10+ years of experience building relationships and partnerships with all levels of employees, including executives
10+ years of experience in collaborative problem solving, building lasting relationships & proficiency in written and verbal communication
10+ years of experience transforming technical concepts into clear, actionable insights
10+ years of experience developing presentations for and presenting to executive leadership
10+ years of experience managing or leading the planning and execution of programs and projects
10+ years of experience balancing multiple project priorities and statements of work
10+ years of experience being proactive, motivated, and initiating high-level tasks or projects independently with limited external direction or encouragement
10+ years of experience taking initiative, working autonomously, and contributing positively to a team's objectives
