Boeing Information Digital Technology & Security (IDT&S) Enterprise Business Systems (EBS) is currently seeking a Senior Supply Chain Systems Architect to join the Supply Chain Demand Forecasting, Supply Planning and MRP product family in Seattle, WA; Berkeley, MO; Everett, WA; Kent, WA; Mesa, AZ; North Charleston, SC; or Plano, TX.

As our Senior Supply Chain Systems Architect, you’ll drive innovation in SC Demand Forecasting, Supply Planning and MRP products, impacting one of the world’s complex supply chains. We’re looking for a skilled professional to:

Define and refine requirements to build robust, adaptable architectures

Set design constraints ensuring alignment with business needs

Integrate architecture into the Software Development Lifecycle for agility and efficiency

Lead development of architecture models and guide your team toward practical, visionary solutions

Evaluate solutions through trade-off analyses to inform strategic decisions

Champion best practices and set organizational standards

Assess architectural impacts on the product lifecycle for sustainable, scalable outcomes

Shape product architecture and data management strategies for the future

Identifies and removes technical impediments in product designs

Evaluate new products in the domain for the suitability

Position Responsibilities:

System Design and Architecture:

Lead the development and documentation of comprehensive system architectures encompassing hardware, software, and networks. Create and maintain architectural models and diagrams to communicate system designs.

Requirements Analysis:

Collaborate closely with business analysts and stakeholders to gather, analyze, and validate system requirements. Translate business needs into clear technical specifications and architectural solutions.

Technology Evaluation:

Research and assess emerging technologies, tools, and frameworks. Provide informed recommendations for adoption and integration strategies.

Integration Planning:

Design and implement integration strategies ensuring seamless connectivity and data flow. Define and standardize APIs, protocols, and communication methods for interoperability.

Performance Optimization:

Analyze system performance to identify bottlenecks and enhance efficiency, scalability, and reliability.

Security Considerations:

Embed security best practices into system designs. Collaborate with security teams to identify vulnerabilities and develop mitigation strategies.

Documentation:

Maintain detailed and up-to-date documentation architectures, design decisions, and technical specifications. Produce user guides, operational manuals, and roadmaps for current and future states.

Collaboration and Communication:

Engage with development teams, project managers, and stakeholders to align on architecture. Communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.

Project Management:

Provide technical leadership throughout the project lifecycle. Monitor progress to ensure compliance with architectural standards and best practices.

Continuous Improvement:

Stay current with industry trends and best practices. Lead initiatives to improve processes, tools, and methodologies in system design and development.

Initiative and Problem Solving:

Proactively identify challenges and make timely, well-informed decisions independently.

Teamwork:

Foster cooperative relationships across teams. Adapt flexibly to changing environments, priorities, and organizational needs.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

5+ years of experience in aerospace and/or defense

5+ years of experience in supply chain and supply chain business

5+ years of experience in Demand Forecasting, Supply Planning and/or MRP disciplines

Understand differences in planning philosophies between production/repair and after market parts planning.

5+ years of experience in systems architecture, software development, and/or IT infrastructure roles

5+ years of experience with integration technologies such as API, FTP, and Cloud Integration Services

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

Bachelor’s degree or higher

10+ years of experience in a role which required strong interpersonal and communication skills

10+ years of experience leading successful Lean and process improvement initiatives across an IT organization

10+ years of experience with IT4IT, ITIL, Agile, DevOps, and/or other relevant frameworks

10+ years of experience leading large-scale IT transformation projects

5+ years of experience automating and optimizing Supply Chain processes

5+ years of experience of supply chain management and how technology supports end-to-end business processes (e.g., order fulfillment, procurement, logistics, etc.)

Pay Range is commensurate with Geo Location:

$140K - $198K
