Find your future with us.Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is looking for an Experienced or SeniorSupplier Quality Readiness Specialist (Level 3 or Level 4) to join the Prevention and Work MovementTeam, based out of Everett, WA.
The primary function of this role will be to ensure that all Initial Product and Production System Validation (IPPSV) activities are completed as planned. The role reports to the BCA Supplier Quality Manager of the Supplier Readiness team.
Our team members enjoy and meet the challenges of working remotely, with requirements to travel up to 75% of the time to different supplier locations in the region. Our team members recognize and appreciate the autonomy, trust and judgment granted to them, to ensure the oversight of our suppliers. Use of a personal vehicle is required for company business; Boeing will reimburse at mileage rate, per applicable company policy.

Our team is currently hiring for a broad range of experience levels including: Experienced or Senior Supplier Quality Readiness Specialist.
Position Responsibilities:
Plans and conducts audits and assessments of supplier's systems, processes and products supporting the overall prevention strategy such as Requirement Consumption Reviews (RCR), Boeing First Article Inspection (BFAI), review of supplier's First Article Inspection Reports (FAIR), Quality Requirement Review (QRR), Quality Process Assessment (QPA)
Documents and reports audit and assessment results
Inspects or verifies products for conformity to engineering requirements
Assists with assessments of supplier capability and capacity to perform current or potential future work
Provides supplier education and coaching on quality systems, regulatory compliance issues and company initiatives
Supports Regional Operations SQRs to ensure supplier's Quality Management System (QMS) compliance with Boeing requirements
Pro-actively engages with current and new suppliers to ensure First Time Quality (FTQ)
Ensures supplier notifications of quality escapes are processed as required; evaluates supplier Root Cause Analysis and proposed corrective action plans (RCCA) where these affect part numbers are subject to IPPSV control
Reports supplier's quality risks and opportunities to leadership

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
4+ years of experience in quality and/or manufacturing processes and organizations
4+ years of experience working with Quality Standards such as ISO 9001, AS9100, ISO 14000
4+ years of experience in conducting supplier audits
4+ years of experience with reading, understanding, and interpreting engineering drawings and specifications (e.g., blueprint/schematic reading, specification, change, design)
4+ years of experience with monitoring supplier performance to ensure system integration and compliance with requirements
4+ years of experience with Root Cause and Corrective Action (RCCA) processes and implementing corrective actions
Able to travel up to 75% of the time
Available to work variable shifts
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Level 4: 10+ years’ related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Experience performing inspection and verification activities to products and production systems
Ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders and present technical findings to various levels of leadership
Experience, and at least considered an intermediate user, with Microsoft Office tools (Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
Experience with risk Assessment Methodologies and supplier audits (e.g. FMEA, system, product and process audit assessment)
Experience in the aerospace industry
Experience with conducting First Article Inspection and/or reviewing AS9102 forms
Knowledge of assembly and production processes, manufacturing capabilities (e.g., structures, systems, composites, etc.)
Strong affinity for coaching and mentoring suppliers on products/process requirement from engineering and specifications
Lean Manufacturing or Lean Six Sigma experience (leading or co-leading teams with value stream mapping and shop floor standard work events)
Typical Education/Experience:
Level 3: Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 6 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Master+4 years' related work experience, 10 years' related work experience, etc.).
Level 4: Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 10 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Master+8 years' related work experience, 14 years' related work experience, etc.).
Shift:
Successful candidates will work 1st shift, but should expect to work flexible hours as appropriate to business needs.

Summary Pay Range for Experienced (Level 3): $100,000 - $127,500
Summary Pay Range for Senior level (Level 4): $116,000 - $148,000
