Find your future with us.Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is seeking a First-Line Quality Manager (Level K) to support the Supplier Quality Prevention and Work Movement team in Everett, Washington
The Supplier Quality Manager (Prevention and Work Movement) will own supplier quality activities related to Work Movement and early engagement in sourcing activities. This position will lead a team that defines, executes and continuously improves SQ processes to assess risk in Statements of Work (SOW) considered for Work Movement and other sourcing activities. Work Movement and Sourcing risk mitigation activities include but are not limited to: IPT, Supplier Evaluation, Requirements Consumption Reviews, Quality Process Assessments for suppliers' work transfer processes, First Article Inspection Report (FAI) reviews. The role requires strong knowledge of Quality Requirements, Work Movement and Sourcing processes, Boeing command media/systems, supplier quality tools and methods, and demonstrated ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders.
Position Responsibilities
Evaluate risk in Statements of Work within Work Movement and sourcing activities and recommend required supplier quality controls as part of go/no-go and gating decisions
Ensure Boeing's compliance to Regulatory Requirements applicable to Work Movement and Sourcing Activities
Plan and execute Quality and Requirements Consumption Reviews to confirm supplier understanding and capability to meet Boeing contractual, technical and quality requirements
Plan and execute Supplier Quality Process Assessments of supplier work transfer processes, including manufacturing, inspection, tooling control, sub-tier controls, and documentation readiness
Review and disposition First Article Inspections Reports (FAI) and ensure alignment with Boeing FAI and AS9102 requirements (where applicable)
Collaborate with Supply Chain, Program Management, Engineering, Manufacturing to ensure integrated approach to risk reduction in Work Movement and Sourcing activities.
Establish and track quality risk metrics and provide regular risk status and recommendations to Supplier Quality and Supply Chain leadership
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Program Management, Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, or related field
10+ years of Supply Chain, Supplier Quality or related experience supporting complex assemblies or aerospace components; experience leading teams or projects
5+ years of experience in Aerospace, Manufacturing, Quality, or experience in a regulated industry
3+ years of experience leading teams in a formal and /or informal leadership role
3+ years of experience with Quality Management Systems and/or Boeing Production System
3+ years of experience using systematic problem solving
Preferred Qualifications
Experience within aerospace/defense supply chains.
Experience managing supplier transitions, change management, or supplier development programs
Demonstrated record of implementing successful supplier improvement plans
Experience managing multicultural suppliers, teams and stakeholders
