Boeing’s Global Real Estate and Facilities (GREF) organization is currently seeking a Regional Project Management Lead to join the Projects, Assets, Construction, and Engineering (PACE) team to support construction projects and project managers while providing expertise across the enterprise as necessary.

In this role, you will lead, mentor, coach and support project management teams while providing enterprise-wide project leadership. Partnering with a cross-functional team of engineers, planners, procurement and contracting specialists, site business partners and GREF leadership, you will drive the successful execution of projects that are critical to business operations and strategic objectives. You will also provide regular project and program updates to GREF leadership and key business stakeholders, ensuring alignment, transparency and informed decision-making throughout the project lifecycle.

The opportunity is available at any of our Washington sites in Auburn, Tukwila, Everett, Kent, Renton or Seattle.

Position Responsibilities:

Train, coach and mentor project managers and colleagues on project management processes and industry best standards

Develop specifications, statements of work and proposal estimates; develop and evaluate mitigation strategies for RIO’s (and entering in BORIS)

Evaluate field progress against published Integrated Master Schedule and Earned Value Management (EVM) data; conduct technical reviews of design and contractor proposals

Assist with Major Project reporting deck and briefing to leadership; lead and facilitate meetings with technical and project management staff

Develop and train in formalizing integrated baseline project management plans: team charters, work and organizational breakdown structures, quality planning, change management process and project closure, to ensure controls are in place

Consolidate independently generated project data and interface with functional specialists on cross-functional teams, to ensure stakeholder understanding of trade-offs amongst cost, schedule, quality and risk

Support development of project plans for major projects, in accordance with accepted project management principles based on Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK)

Identify and document requirements necessary to meet project needs; define scope with project teams, apply appropriate standards, guidelines, regulations and procedures to ensure all work and only work required to complete the project is included in the baseline

Establish baseline critical path schedule, using software to integrate elements of the work breakdown structure and resources, for major projects; monitor milestones and task activities to ensure timely completion

Perform variance analysis & make recommendations, to ensure schedule commitments are achieved

Support cost estimates and identify resources needed using project cost management processes; establish cost baseline; monitor, using earned value management system

Perform variance analysis and make recommendations for change and improvement, to ensure cost target are reached

Identify and formalize required communication flows to project stakeholders, including team members, management, program and functional organizations

Prepare and present management briefings to communicate project(s) status, identify issues and solicit help for resolution

Identify potential risks using established project management tools; assess risks applying standard project risk techniques; develop risk response plan and makes recommendations to project stakeholders to minimize risk

Identify for project team, how all necessary goods and services will be provided, using all appropriate guidelines and procedures, to ensure project budgets and schedules are met

Recommend appropriate actions to business partners and other stakeholders to satisfy project goals and objectives

Travel Requirements: 50% intra-site travel expected for your assigned region/portfolio of sites within the Greater Puget Sound area

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

Bachelor’s degree or higher

5+ years of experience estimating costs for major building projects, from construction documents, engineering technical specifications and drawings

5+ years of experience within project leadership including planning, implementing and executing program plans

5+ years of experience developing and delivering presentations/proposals to senior leaders

3+ years of experience with risk identification and mitigation plans

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

Degree discipline in Civil Engineering, Engineering Technology, Architecture, or Construction Management

5+ years of experience updating and analyzing Integrated Master Schedules

5+ years of experience in budgeting

5+ years of experience teaching, coaching and developing others

5+ years of experience in facilities construction implementation, including developing project requirements, design and constructability reviews & negotiating construction documents

Experience conducting technical reviews of design and contractor proposals

Experience evaluating field progress against published Integrated Master Schedule and EVM data

Experience with design and construction oversight

Experience with Procore, Ariba and BORIS systems

Experience with AutoCAD/Revit

Experience working at a project/construction management, A&E, or equivalent business
