Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) Quality organization is seeking a Senior Quality Manager, Part 125 (Level L) to join our 737 team in Seattle and Renton, Washington.

Boeing is looking for a candidate to join the Boeing 125 Air Operator team. This is an exciting and challenging opportunity to be part of a diverse multi-functional team that oversees and manages The Boeing Company’s 125 Air Operator Certificate (AOC). Part 125 AOC is a Global operation with multiple aircraft types on the certificate. We are seeking an individual who can hold the position of Director of Maintenance (DOM) for the CFR 14 Part 125 operating certificate. The DOM is a listed position on the Operations Specification paragraph A006. In this role, you will drive improvements within the program to ensure teams are prepared for and continuously improving with the goal of zero injuries, zero defects, and zero FOD.

The selected candidate will be leading and mentoring a team of managers, individual contributors and partners that maintain the Air Operator Certificate.

Position Responsibilities:

The Director of Maintenance reports the 737 Quality Superintendent (Pre-Flight) and administratively to the General Manager / Director of Operations (DOO) for the general management of the Part 125 Organization. The Director of Maintenance has the responsibility for overall management of the Part 125 Maintenance and Engineering organization.

The Director of Maintenance is responsible for the training and coordination of all selected supervisors and aviation maintenance technicians in the maintenance reporting lines, and for all orders issued concerning their duties. The DOM is the person ultimately responsible to ensure that maintenance personnel and contract maintenance organizations effectively carry out the policies and procedures of the Part 125 Organization, and for their individual and collective compliance with applicable laws and regulations, including but not limited to those set forth within Parts 65, 43, 91 and 125 of the Federal Aviation Regulations.

The Director of Maintenance is the principal manager for maintenance and inspection activities, maintenance records, and line maintenance of the airplanes under the Part 125’s operational control. This is accomplished through the Maintenance staff, Contract Maintenance Organizations, Line Mechanics and Supporting Liaison Engineers and performed in conformance with the Airplane Inspection Program under the Part 125 Operating Certificate.

The Director of Maintenance is responsible for communicating and liaising with the Federal Aviation Administration Certificate Management Office (CMO). Within this role the DQA will perform FAA coordination of the induction and operations of the aircraft to be listed and listed on the Certificate. Reporting duties include Voluntary Disclosure Reporting Program (VDRP) per AIP/AC No: 00-58X and Service Difficulty Reporting under 14 CFR 125.409

The Director of Maintenance (DOM) shall ensure that the FAA approved maintenance provider has the proper facilities, trained personnel, quality system, tooling and equipment to perform the maintenance and inspection requirements as required by the Aircraft Inspection Program and/or Modification SOW. The DOM is also specifically responsible for the scheduling of inspections required under the Airplane Inspection Program.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

10+ years of flight line, airline and/or MRO experience to include releasing of aircraft for flight and an extensive working knowledge of 14 CFR parts 91, 145, 121 and 125.5+ years' experience in developing and maintaining relationships and partnerships with executives, managers, customers, stakeholders, peers, and business partners.5+ years' experience in a leadership role leading matrixed teams, initiatives, or projects to meet business objectives and influence change.5+ years' experience leading and influencing people in a Quality, Engineering, or Manufacturing organization.Experience authoring, revising and working with the regulators for approval of policy and procedure manuals.Have the relevant and recent experience to be listed on the Boeing Repair Station RosterHigh working knowledge of aircraft maintenance documents i.e. AMM, IPC, SRM, WDM, IFIM, MPD and etc.Possess an FAA Airframe and Power Plant LicenseProficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.)Ability to work any shift based on the needs of the operation (1st, 2nd or 3rd Shift)Ability to react to dynamic international and domestic travel schedules and secure international travel visas.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

Experience with the One BPS system

The ability to manage, develop and motivate employees.

Experience completing process-oriented tasks accurately and in an organized manner.

Self-starter who creates and implements job-related solutions and procedures.

Proficient in Boeing Problem Solving Model (BPSM) and Systematic Problem Solving.

Strong Quality Management Systems/Business Acumen

Demonstrated skills in Team Building, Systematic Problem Solving and Risk Mitigation.

Experience or familiarity with working with supply chain

Shift:

This position is being staffed to provide coverage for 1st shift. However, the selected candidate must be willing to work any shift based on the needs of the operation.

Summary Pay Range: $143,650 - $194,350
