Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is seeking a Career (Level 3) and Expert (Level 4) Quality Assurance Investigator (Material Review/Investigations) to work on the Emergent Operations team in Everett, Washington on 1st shift.

Quality Assurance Investigators play a crucial role in the production life cycle, from raw material issuance to post-delivery across various aerospace platforms. The selected candidate will enhance our manufacturing environment by developing a robust Corrective Action and Preventative Action (CAPA) system as a Material Review Board Designee and Quality Assurance Investigator, validating product non-conformances, ensuring compliance with engineering requirements, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to eliminate defects through trend analysis and problem-solving workshops.

Our teams are currently hiring for a broad range of experience levels including Career (Level 3) and Expert (Level 4) Quality Assurance Investigators.

Primary Responsibilities:

Reviews and validates product non-conformances and disposition type, quality procedures and engineering requirements

Performs analysis to identify and evaluate the quality of products, operations and processes to Quality Management System requirements, applicable company procedures, contract requirements or government regulations

Applies knowledge of aerospace design, systems and integration to perform failure and forensic analysis of aerospace components and systems

Trains and mentors fellow employees in the Quality Management System

Performs root cause analysis on the nonconformance to identify the cause and prevent reoccurrence

Independently develops, modifies and documents actions to assure problem resolution or to implement corrective/preventive action and documents resolution

Obtains corrective action on nonconforming plans and hardware/processes

Negotiates concurrence, obtains commitments for taking preventive and corrective action, prioritizes quality activities and ensures problem resolution

Reviews and validates the corrective action plans and identifies effectiveness to ensure completion

Reviews and approves Quality planning changes or disposition of nonconformance hardware products/processes

Guides validation of configuration management, quality procedures and material review policies to deliver the software products

Develop software system processes to support changing industry standards

Reviews and implements corrective action on audit results to ensure media is stored and handled per engineering defined requirements

Interprets industry standards and provide recommendations for implementation

Creates analytical reports and coordinates with the parties responsible for internal/external distribution

Works under general direction

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/ Experience):

3+ years of experience with Root Cause Corrective Analysis

3+ years of knowledge or experience working with and supporting Quality Management Systems or Quality Requirements within an Engineering discipline

3+ years of experience working with quality and/or manufacturing data systems

1+ years of experience with project management

Proficiency and experience with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

5+ years related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience

Experience with Data Analytics, Integrated Quality Data System (IQDS)

Technical experience in an aerospace environment

Experience in role that required project management skills

Typical Education/Experience:

Career (Level 3):

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 6 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Master+4 years' related work experience, 10 years' related work experience, etc.).

Expert (Level 4):

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 10 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Master+8 years' related work experience, 14 years' related work experience, etc.).In locations where SPEEA representation applies, this job family will be covered by the terms of the collective bargaining agreement. Applicable and appropriate educational/certification credentials from an accredited institution and/or equivalent experience is required.

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

Summary pay range (Level 3): $95,200 - $128,800

Summary pay range (Level 4): $119,000 - $161,000
