Find your future with us.The Boeing Company is looking for a Senior Project Management Specialist to join our team in Seattle, WA; Mesa, AZ; Berkeley, MO or Hazelwood, MO.
In this role you will be responsible for delivering project-based initiatives for Boeing’s HR services project management office. You will collaborate with stakeholders across HR and IT to deliver scalable, innovative technology solutions that enable world-class HR services.
Position Responsibilities:
Leads others and directs all phases of assigned cross-organizational or business unit projects demonstrating proficiency in all project management areas in accordance with accepted project management standards in the industry (e.g., PMI, Project Management Body of Knowledge [PMBOK], ANSI, and ISO standards)Demonstrate proficiency and utilize program/project management software applicationsIndependently develops, coordinates, integrates, analyzes, and maintains an integrated plan and schedule to meet program and/or project requirements in accordance with project management industry standardsIdentifies key stakeholder project specific objectives and requirementsIdentifies and negotiates for necessary resources to meet project goalsIdentifies project risks, issues, actions, decisions and develops resolution plansEnsures assigned individuals are executing the identified and assigned tasks and providing appropriate tracking and reporting per planMonitors project deliverables to ensure compliance with quality standardsCreates reports, metrics, change activity and communicates and updates plan regularly throughout lifecycle of program or projectEffectively communicates performance to plan and across stakeholder groupsProvides in-depth analysis; identify lessons learned, provide historical reports to incorporate into future project plansDevelops solutions to complex problems that require ingenuity and innovationProvides Subject Matter Expertise, independent reviews, and guidance for deploying common PM processes, tools, and requirements across the enterpriseWorks to improve project management processes, business systems, and implement best practices that support project decision makersServes as a spokesperson for the PM Processes and Tools, provides training, and acts as an advisor to management and customers
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
Project Management Professional (PMP) or comparable certification5+ years of experience in leading others and directing all phases of assigned cross-organizational or business unit projects demonstrating proficiency in all project management areas in accordance with accepted project management standards5+ years of experience working as part of a cross-functional, geographically dispersed team in matrix-type organizations5+ years of experience in using PPM (Project Portfolio Management) and/or ADLM (Application Development Life-cycle Management) tools (i.e. MS Project, MS WebApp, Azure DevOps (ADO), JIRA) as part of project implementations5+ years of experience developing and delivering effective presentations to Leadership at all levels5+ years of experience using Microsoft Office Suite
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a relevant fieldExperience in managing Workday HR-related projectsExperience in large-scale complex projects using strong analytical and problem-solving skillsAble to adapt to shifting priorities, demands, and timelinesExcellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills and communication / relationship building skillsAbility to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing
