Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is seeking a Senior or Principal Project Management Specialist to join our team in Everett, WA. The Systems Integration Project Management Specialist will work with a dynamic and diverse Systems Integration team that supports the design, configuration, production, certification, and delivery of 787s. The Systems integration team supports large-scale multisystem projects from concept, to integrated testing, certification, production incorporation, and delivery.

The 787 program is undertaking a number of significant improvements including new features and capabilities to enhance this already highly capable airplane. Additionally, the Systems Integration team supports the entire 787 fleet in service, leading resolution to fleet and safety issues, customer commitments, and overall airplane system product strategy. This opportunity will provide the candidate to lead, develop, coordinate, integrate, analyze, and maintain integrated plans and schedules for complex projects and change driven activities. Successful candidates will have a desire to work in a fast-paced environment, solve complex problems, present information to executive leadership, and build and execute integrated project plans.

Position Responsibilities:

Supports cross-functional teams through the development and integration of large-scale multi-system projects.May work with multiple airplane systems including Environmental Controls Systems, Mechanical Hydraulics, Flight Controls, Electrical Sub-Systems, Electrical Design and Standards, Flight Deck, Cabin Systems, Network Systems, Avionics Systems, and Cyber Security and will lead these teams through a variety of complex projects.Collaborate with airplane safety, regulatory administration, and various 787 program teams such as change management, supply chain, production engineering, manufacturing engineering, operations, and delivery centers.Leads, develops, coordinates, integrates, analyzes, and maintains integrated plans and schedules for complex projects, programs and change driven activities in accordance with project management industry.Leads studies/analysis (trend, variance, impact), reports, risk assessments and planning efforts to determine impacts, constraints involving product development, production rates, process improvement, program initiatives.Identifies risk and opportunity potential, develops mitigation planning and refines the business case.Develops and establishes lead time requirements.Facilitates and ensures integration of project/program plan, schedules, change and baseline management, processes, techniques considered to be best practice across the industry.Acts as primary project contact to establish key stakeholder requirements and project objectives.Directs all phases of projects or subsystems of major projects from inception through completion.Coordinates commitments with internal and external stakeholders to fulfill strategies.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

Bachelor’s degree or higher4+ years’ experience in program or project management4+ years’ experience in a leadership role, leading teams, or projects to successful completionAbility to effectively communicate with a diverse engineering team in order to synthesize complex information.Ability to communicate technical and project recommendations to executive management.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

4+ years’ working in ambiguous and fast changing environments.6+ years’ related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experienceExperience developing and maintaining integrated resource-loaded project schedules.Experience in a fast-paced Aerospace production environment with cross-functional teamsExperience in Microsoft Project, Microsoft Project Server and/or Project Web ApplicationProven experience working with and collaborating with executive leadership.Demonstrates good problem-solving skills and critical thinking.Experience supporting production and factory.Experience supporting airline customers.

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

Summary pay range Senior $115,600 - $156,400

Summary pay range Principal $141,950 - $192,050
