The selected candidate is responsible for overseeing and orchestrating post-deployment application support of the BDS Sapphire Digital Platform: A set of integrated enterprise services supporting program operations across BDS comprising of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), finance, supply chain and procurement), Manufacturing Operations Management (MOM) and Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) systems.
This role ensures continuous system availability & customer support, optimal performance, and alignment with business objectives. The incumbent will lead a cross-functional team to manage support operations system enhancements, and user adoption strategies while collaborating with IT and business stakeholders to sustain business continuity and process efficiency.
This is a high visibility role and provides the opportunity to influence Sapphire strategy, optimize organizational processes, and ensure that the company maximizes the value from its ERP, MES and PLM investments while supporting scalable growth and operational excellence.
Position Responsibilities:
Lead and manage the Sapphire support and sustainment team, including incident management, problem resolution, and change request governance
Develop and execute strategies for Sapphire optimization, performance monitoring, and preventative maintenance
Implement best practices in Sapphire governance, documentation, and knowledge management to ensure long-term sustainability
Monitor and report on Sapphire operational health, Service Level Agreements, Key Performance Indicators, and performance metrics to senior leadership
Identify, evaluate, and recommend process improvements, automation opportunities, and technology innovations to enhance Sapphire efficacy
Manage vendor relationships, contracts, and service level agreements associated with Sapphire support services
Work with Business Change Management Team to ensure training programs and resources support end-user adoption and continuous improvement initiatives
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
Bachelor’s Degree or higher
10+ years of experience in system management
10+ years of experience in a customer facing role engaging with internal and/or external customers
5+ years of experience leading a cross-functional team
5+ years of experience in post-implementation support, help desk & hyper-care operations, system sustainment, and upgrade management
5+ years of experience with business processes across finance, supply chain, and engineering and production
Strong communication, problem solving and analytical skills
Capable of traveling up to 30% of the time
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Experience in ERP, MES and PDM platforms such as SAP, Siemens OPCENTER and TEAMCENTER, or similar
Experience with ITIL, COBIT, or other IT service management frameworks
Experience with data governance, reporting, and analytics tools to provide actionable insights
Experience with change management and organizational adoption methodologies
Experience managing multiple priorities and driving continuous improvement initiatives
Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
