Boeing Product Security Engineering (PSE) is seeking a Manager (Level K) to join our Risk Management Capability (RMC) and lead product security capabilities in support of Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) onsite in Seattle, WA or Everett, WA. The selected candidate will execute on our vision and share our passion for protecting our commercial airplanes’ products and the aviation ecosystem. In this leadership role, you will have the opportunity to lead a team in performing engineering Incident Response and Vulnerability Management (IRVM) across the commercial airplanes’ fielded fleet and lead efforts to define and develop security event detection mechanisms for ourselves and our airline customers on current and future airplanes. This position requires good analytical, organizational and communication skills (internal, external, and to various levels of leadership), highly developed problem solving and project management skills, as well as strong leadership abilities.

Position Overview:

Develop and enhance the enterprise OT Vulnerability Management Program to deploy OT aware scanning and patching tooling across targeted OT environments such as production equipment, facilities, and labsLead team in response to product security threats, vulnerabilities, incidents and queries across commercial airplane platformsLead team in design and development of onboard security event detection mechanisms, partnering with systems engineering teamsLead team in development and deployment of security log guidance and analysis tools to BCA customersLead team in development of security event response guidance to BCA customersOversee BCA PSE response to customer service requests and inquiriesOversee PSE risk assessments of BCA platformsOversee maturation of IRVM and event detection processes, tools and methodologies

Primary responsibilities:

Develop and enhance the enterprise OT Vulnerability Management Program to deploy OT aware scanning and patching tooling across targeted OT environments such as production equipment, facilities, and labsManage employees developing, implementing, and sustaining product security and resiliency throughout the product requirements, design, build, test, production, operations, and support lifecycle.Develop and execute project and process plans, implements policies and procedures and set operational goals.Acquire resources for projects and processes, provide technical management and lead process improvements.Develop and maintain relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports.Provide oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes.Manage, develop and motivate employees.Drive employee performance development, hiring, and staffing projectionsSupport external engagement, including interfacing with airline customers, government, and aviation industryFlexibility to manage statement of work across North and South Puget Sound locations. Some travel required.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills and Experience):

Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement3+ years experience in systems engineering, systems integration, software engineering, electrical engineering, certification, product security, network security and/or cybersecurity3+ years of experience in leading or managing technical teamsStrong written and verbal communication skills

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills and Experience):

Knowledge in network security or cybersecurityKnowledge of or experience in Airplane SystemsDemonstrated experience leading engineering teamsExperience in the aerospace industryProject management experienceExperience working with airline customers, regulators and other stakeholders5+ years of experience in systems engineering, systems integration, software engineering, electrical engineering, certification, network security and/or cybersecurity

Summary Pay Range: $165,750 - $224,250
