Find your future with us.The Boeing Global Services (BGS) organization is seeking an Experienced-Level Product Review Engineer Review Engineer (Level 3/4) to join the on-site C-17 Field Operations engineering team, supporting McChord AFB, WA, for the C-17 Globemaster III Integrated Sustainment Partnership contract.
Our teams are currently hiring for a broad range of experience levels including Career and Expert Level Product Review Engineer (Liaison Engineering).
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at Joint Base Lewis-McChord, WA.
Position Responsibilities:
Apply broad knowledge of Boeing C-17 design and engineering principles to assess and resolve operational issues through the aircraft's lifecycle
Lead & conduct root cause analyses and develop dispositions to address nonconforming conditions and to detect deviations
Apply engineering principles and/or lead the effort to research technical, operational and quality issues that cannot be resolved by customer and design interim and final engineering solutions
Analyze reported problems for potential safety issues
Recommend and manage complex resolution
Develop and implement product/process improvements
Support Integrated Product Teams (IPT) and participate in design and in-service reviews
Represent the engineering community in the post-production environment
Develop and sustain customer correspondence for continued safe operation and maintenance of equipment
Lead on-site disabled product repair teams and accident investigation or support team
Analyze damage repairs or structural modifications to determine appropriate repair approaches, prevent collateral damage and assure a safe work environment
Lead the design of interim and final structural repairs and conduct static strength analyses
Provide similar technical support to all other C-17 aircraft operators and maintainers participating in the C-17 Globemaster III Integrated Sustainment Partnership
This is a technical position at a USAF Base, requiring independence and technical acumen
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at Joint Base Lewis-McChord, WA.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
Minimum of two (2) years of aircraft engineering experience
Engineering background in repair and maintenance of Airframe Structure, hydromechanical, Avionics, Electrical, Environmental, Fuel or Propulsion Systems
Ability to work independently in a wide variety of cultural/economic settings, under time constraints and stress, in a demanding, on-call, around-the-clock operational environment
This position requires the ability to obtain a US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. secret clearance Post Start is required.
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
C-17 or other mobility platform experience
Prior experience with a USAF customer-facing role
An existing technical network within C-17 Field Services and the C-17 program
Prior Flight Test experience
Experience performing Material Review Board (MRB) product review
Knowledge of C-17 design, theory of operation, qualification testing, engineering drawings, operational performance & lessons learned, pending design improvements, support systems, technical orders, and repair philosophy
Familiarity with the Operation, Maintenance and Fault Diagnosis of Aircraft Electrical, Flight Control, Fuel, Environmental or Communication System
Education/experience:
Career (Level 3)
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), computer science, engineering data science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience or non-US equivalent qualifications. In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
Expert (Level 4)
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), computer science, engineering data science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 9 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience or non-US equivalent qualifications. In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

Summary Pay Range (Career – Level 3): 96,050 – 129,950
Summary Pay Range (Expert – Level 4) 127,700 – 163,300
