The mission of the Certification Enterprise Process team is to develop, implement, and oversee certification processes that ensure the compliance and safety of all of Boeing’s products. Our team of experienced engineers and technical analysts use expertise in systems engineering and problem-solving to navigate regulatory requirements and develop and guide the certification processes solutions in an autonomous atmosphere. The team enjoys problem solving through, developing action, data analysis and driving systems level solutions. It is a dynamic and highly visible place of work.
Our teams are currently hiring for a broad range of experience levels including Associate, Mid-Level, or Senior Certification System Product Owner.
Position Responsibilities:
Contributing cross-functional teams resulting in resolution of technical issues
Coordinate technical messaging and partnering with the FAA on regulatory issues
Developing strategic action plans and executing those plans through completion
Own, manage, and have/develop technical aptitude to enable execution of process/procedure documents (BPM, BPIs, D6s, D950s, etc.)
Ensure proper technical coordination across products, platforms and functional areas to promote culture of compliance to requirements and application of procedures and FAA guidance
Enable effective changes and efficient solutions across the Certification value stream
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science
Experience working directly with the FAA and/or ODA on Type Certification projects
3+ years of experience in developing and/or contributing to processes, policies, and procedures
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Mid-Level: 5+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Senior Level: 10+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Experience working within the certification value stream.
Experience with certification processes Boeing uses to comply with 14 CFR 21.93, 21.95, 21.97 and 12.101.
Experience communicating verbally and in writing, to a variety of audiences including FAA representation, ODA Leadership, Engineering Unit Members (E-UM) & Project Administrators (PA), and Program & Functional Leaders.
Experience identifying web application impact due to changes in certification requirements.
Systems thinker capable of making engineering proposals based on data analysis and forecasting wide reaching and longer term impacts.
Experience developing presentations and presenting to multiple levels of an organization.
Experience investigating and finding solutions to complex technical or regulatory issues.
Experience recognizing and balance conflicting priorities.
