Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) is seeking a Mid-Level or Experienced (Level 3 or 4)Project Management Specialist to join the P-8A Program Team located in Kent, WA.

This position will focus on supporting the P-8A Development Program. This role’s responsibilities will span across multiple high visibility projects such as Increment 3 Block 2 Platform Integration, Advanced Survivability Pod, and IDIQ Software Sustainment programs, to name a few. This role will work closely with software and systems engineering teams to support the planning of projects, monitoring, and driving project progress while ensuring roadblocks are removed, and risks are mitigated.

Position Responsibilities:

Supports the development of the program architecture and top-level plans for a programFacilitates the resolution of program issuesSupports the program manager in leading program execution by coordinating program metricsIntegrates the implementation of the Program Management Best PracticesImplements customer and program communication and contact plansCreates schedule, reports, metrics, change activity, communicates and updates plan regularly throughout lifecycle of program or project

This position is hybrid. The selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at one of the listed location options. This is at the hiring team’s discretion and could potentially change in the future.

This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. (An Interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post Start is required.)

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

Bachelor’s Degree and 5 years’ related work experience5 years of experience in project management, program management, product management, and/or strategyStrong business acumen, problem-solving capabilities, and expertise using project management tools (Jira, Microsoft Project, etc.)Strong instinct to anticipate, identify and effectively mitigate imminent risks to project schedule, budget, and scope3+ years of experience leading projects through a complete project lifecycle (initiating, planning, implementing, monitoring & controlling, and closeout)3+ years of experience collecting, organizing, synthesizing and analyzing data3+ years of experience working directly with executives or senior leaders

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

Program Management Institute (PMI) Project Management Professional (PMP) certificationExperience implementing agile methodologies (SAFe, Scrum, Kanban, etc.)Experience with leading proposal development in cross functional teams5+ years of experience leading others and advising business unit projects showing strength in all project management areas in accordance with accepted project management standards in the industryThe individual must be hardworking and hands on in their approach and possess strong written and oral communication skillsStrong, independent leader, who is a self-starter and a proven teammate in a high achievement-oriented environmentFlexibility and responsiveness in a fast-paced, multifaceted, team environmentExperience providing briefings to senior and/or executive level managementExperience with RIO (Risk, Issues, and Opportunities) in project planning and implementationExperience working with systems/software engineering and product support teams is desired

Typical Education/Experience:

Mid-Level (Level 3)

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 6 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Master+4 years' related work experience, 10 years' related work experience, etc.).

Senior (Level 4)

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 10 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Master+8 years' related work experience, 14 years' related work experience, etc.).

Relocation:

Summary pay range Level 3 - $93,500 - $126,500

Summary pay range Level 4 - $115,400 – $156,400
