The Boeing Regulatory Administration & Airworthiness team is seeking Experienced (Level 3) or Senior (Level 4)Airworthiness & Regulatory Engineer to join their team on-site in Everett, Washington.

Position Overview:

Leads the functional engineering organizations (Systems, Structures, Payloads, Propulsion) through the structured investigation process for issues related to FAA issued Letters of Investigation, Informal or Formal Compliance Actions, Voluntary Disclosures, Self-Audit findings, and Part 25 Airworthiness Non-Compliances.Provides technical guidance and training relative to complex safety and airworthiness matters.Coordinate with engineering teams, project administrators, and regulators (may include international regulators/validation authorities) to successfully certify projects for commercial aircraft production teamsReview certification plans, write letters to regulators, and understand compliance processLeading cross-functional teams resulting in resolution of technical issues.Coordinate technical messaging and partnering with the FAA on regulatory issuesOwn, manage, and have/develop technical aptitude to enable execution of process/procedure documents (BPM, BPIs, D6s, D950s, etc.)Ensure proper coordination across products, platforms and functional areas to promote culture of compliance to requirements and application of procedures and FAA guidanceDevelop strategic action plans for changes to certification processes and execute those plans through completionContribute to root cause corrective action plans for development and execution of noncompliance’s, voluntary disclosures, informal corrective actions, formal corrective actions, etc. including reviewing/researching processes, design practices, analysis, conducting root cause analysis, and identifying/owning corrective actions and corrective action plans

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills and Experience):

Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statementLevel 3: 5+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experienceLevel 4: 9+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experienceExcellent written and verbal communication skillsExperience managing and/or leading a team either formally or informally, with the ability to provide guidance, mentorship, and support to team membersExperience leading cross-functional teams Ability to take ownership of work activities to ensure they are completed accurately and efficiently

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills and Experience)

Experience collecting data from multiple sources, performing analysis and presenting dataExperience defining and executing a strategy for digital products and servicesPrevious experience with Safety Management Systems and/or understanding of FAA Part 5 regulations relating to SMS (or the equivalent global ICAO standards).Experience with Safety Management Systems (SMS)Experience with BowTie Risk AnalysisExperience working with Boeing ODA E-UM and I-UM resourcesSystems thinkerExperience clearly, concisely, and objectively identifying and framing regulatory compliance issues, determining root causes, and recommending corrective actionsAbility to balance multiple competing priorities and work streams

Summary Pay Range:

Mid-Level (Level 3): $114,750.00 - $155,250.00Senior (Level 4): $141,100.00 - $190,900.00
