Find your future with us.Boeing Defense, Space & Security is seeking Entry Level or Associate ASIC/FPGA Design Engineer to join their Mobility, Surveillance & Bombers team in Kent, WA. This Electrical Engineer would have responsibilities for sustaining engineering on internal electronic products for KC-46, VC-25, Proprietary and IRAD and will also work through troubleshooting field failures that come in from existing fleet aircraft. Additionally, this position would require design of test equipment (automated and manual) and new products to support the MS&B Portfolio.
Position Responsibilities:
Perform FPGA design on single or multi-FPGA programs working on small or large teams consisting of other FPGA designers, verification engineers, and project engineers
Support FPGA development projects requiring early proof of concept designs as well as high assurance / safety critical FPGA development programs requiring very high robust FPGA performance
Perform HDL coding, logical equivalency checking, static timing analysis, and CDC
Interpret third party algorithms and translate them into verifiable modules via Simulink
Participates in design reviews, bring-up testing, verification and validation testing of FPGA and associated Digital networks
Design and develop electronics for use in MS&B Platforms and associated test systems
Circuit Design, Circuit Analysis and Modeling, Circuit Simulation, Design Verification Testing
Programming of Automated Test Equipment
Troubleshooting of existing designs and conducting failure analysis and leading root cause investigations
This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Top Secret Clearance Post-Start isrequired.
This position requires ability to obtain program access, for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship only.
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills & Experience):
Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in Electrical engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science.
Proficient utilizing the Microsoft Office Suite
Experience with digital design using hardware description languages (System Verilog, Verilog, VHDL)
Experience with circuit design and analysis
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills & Experience):
Experience with Xilinx (AMD) devices and design tools
Experience with C and/or an object oriented language
Experience with Simulink
Prior Electrical engineering experience in a support role
Familiar with interpreting engineering drawings and schematics
Experience with complex electronic assemblies
Typical Education/Experience:
Entry Level 1: Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience. In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
Associate Level 2: Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 2 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. Master). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
Relocation:

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
Summary pay range Entry Level 1: $70,550 - $95,450
Summary pay range Associate Level 2: $85,850 - $116,150
