Find your future with us.Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) Engineering Customer Support is seeking a 787Operations Center Manager (Level K) to support customers on a 24/7 basis and lead a team that operates on a variable shift and rotation schedule. This position is based in Everett, WA.
Position Overview:
In this key management role, you will lead a multi-skilled team focused on analyzing aircraft data and delivering proactive solutions to keep our customers' fleets operational. Your leadership will foster collaboration and eliminate obstacles, empowering the team to innovate and engage experts to address technical and business challenges. You will also ensure that Boeing's solutions align with our customers' specific operational needs.
This position requires both domestic and international air travel, providing opportunities to connect with Boeing team members, customers, suppliers, and various stakeholders, further enhancing our commitment to excellence in aviation.

Position Responsibilities (including but not limited to):
Manage engineers and technicians in the Operations Center to analyze airplane data and deliver proactive solutions for the Boeing Commercial Airplane Customer Support Engineering division.
Oversee a team utilizing Airplane Health Monitoring (AHM) to identify events that may cause schedule interruptions and high-impact emergent issues, providing guidance to Mission Directors and Team Leads.
Develop and execute project and process plans, implement policies and procedures, and set operational goals, requiring experience with engineering tools and processes for Boeing commercial airplane models.
Possess knowledge of the 787 airplane and proficiency with Boeing maintenance documents, including MyBoeingFleet, Fault Isolation Manual (FIM), and Airplane Maintenance Manual (AMM), as well as familiarity with flight operations documents like the Flight Crew Operations Manual (FCOM).
Collaborate with management to acquire resources for projects, provide technical oversight of suppliers, and lead process improvements while interfacing directly with external customers to clarify technical requirements.
Develop and maintain relationships with customers, stakeholders, and direct reports, while embodying leadership expectations by managing as a coach and mentor.
Manage employee development and performance, ensuring appropriate coverage for operator support 24/7, and engage employees to drive process improvements.
Work Authorization:
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at Everett, WA.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science.
5+ years of experience in support of aerospace products, which should include commercial and/or military airplanes.
2+ years of experience leading an engineering team.
Ability to work, function, and lead in high paced 24x7 by 365 operational environments
Domestic and international air travel to integrate with Boeing team members, customers, suppliers, and other organizations.
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Proven ability to embrace change, lead continuous improvement, and treat safety and quality as top priorities.
Experience in customer support dealing with and solving airline customer technical questions and issues
Experience and success leading complex technical projects across multiple disciplines
Knowledge of industry trends (customers, regulators, competitors, etc.)
Willingness and ability to manage ambiguity and turn it into action.
Understanding of design concepts & technologies, and engineering processes
Understanding of Airplane Health Monitoring (AHM)

Summary Pay Range:
$138,550 - $187,450
