The BR&T Materials & Manufacturing Technology (MMT) organization is seeking a highly motivated and energetic Non Destructive Evaluation and Measurement (NDE&M) Capability Technology Team (CTT) Manager (level L) located in Berkeley, Missouri or Seattle, Washington. This position will lead the NDE&M portfolio that includes Materials and Process Engineers, and Technical Analysts in the development and transition of advanced techniques in NDE.

This Capability Technology Team (CTT) leader will manage and grow a portfolio of NDE projects to advancement the state of the art in process and technology. This position develops and executes integrated departmental plans, policies, procedures, and projects. Additionally, it provides input on departmental business and technical strategies, goals, objectives. The position will provide technical management and lead process improvements to develop technologies and processes aligned to existing and future programs. Additionally, the leader will develop and maintain relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners, and direct reports. This position will also carry with it the responsibility for managing the NDE process and technology development portfolio comprised of Internal Research and Development (IR&D) as well as externally and jointly funded projects.

Candidates will be self-starters who can develop strong internal and external customer relationships. Candidates will also be well served by possessing strong depth of knowledge in Non-Destructive Evaluation and inspection processes and technology, project management, collaboration, and communication skills.

This position will report to the Advanced Production System Technology Director within BR&T Materials & Manufacturing Technology (MMT).

Note: Some domestic and international travel may be required.

Position Responsibilities:

Lead and develop the team of individual contributors engaged in the development, deployment and support of NDE, Measurement and Inspection technologiesServe as the NDE&M Capability Technology Team (CTT) leader within BR&T's Materials and Manufacturing Technology (MMT) teamProvide strategy and leadership for the assessment and prioritization of investment portfolio spending on technologies related to quality verification, measurement and inspection technologyCommunicate and document project and team status to senior leadership, accountable to deliverables on cost and on scheduleCollaboratively work with organizations and stakeholders within BGS, BDS and BCA and within BR&T, IT&DA, Quality and the AI organization to develop technology roadmaps and to perform, fund and execute technology projectsDevelop and lead external engagement strategy in coordination with Business DevelopmentLead and grow the BR&T NDE&M efforts through capture of external funds via Contracted Research and Development (CRAD), Cost Share, and Cooperative Research and Development Agreements (CRADA)

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret clearance Post-Start is required.

Summary pay range: $155,550 – $225,400
