Boeing Defense, Space and Security (BDS) is actively seeking a Senior Mission Systems Program Manager (Level M) to join the USAF E-7A team in Tukwila, Washington. The Mission Systems Integrated Product Team (IPT) is a highly dynamic team environment developing and maintaining Radar / IFF-Interrogator, Electronic Support Measures (ESM), Electronic Warfare Self Protection (EWSP), Mission Computing Hardware, Communications, Military Navigation, Tracker Performance Analysis, Flight Avionics, Program Protection, and Mission Systems Integration and Test on the E-7 platform.

The E-7 is the world’s most advanced, capable and reliable Airborne Early Warning and Control (AEW&C) platform, having proven itself in operations around the world. The aircraft is designed to track multiple airborne and maritime targets simultaneously. It can provide situational awareness and direct other assets such as fighter jets and warships. The E-7 program is an important program for Boeing with significant growth potential.

USAF E-7A Mission Systems Program Manager will lead the cost and schedule performance, management/coordination of contracted supplier effort, the direct customer point of contact for the USAF Mission Systems IPT and report directly to the E-7 Mission Systems Director.

Position Responsibilities:

Driving USAF Mission Systems IPT execution through the preparation and facilitation of the weekly program management meetings, monthly business performance reviews, and other program deep dives and/or non-advocate reviewsResponsible for USAF E-7 Mission Systems technical supplier management of radar/IFF, ESM, EWSP, mission computing hardware, communications, and avionics components. Manages employees and mid-level managers performing business management activities in the area of Program ManagementDevelops and executes integrated organizational plans, policies and procedures and guides the development of business and technical strategies, goals, objectivesAcquires resources for organizational activities, provides technical management of suppliers and leads process improvementsDevelops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners, and direct reportsProvides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products, and processesManages, develops, and motivates employees and mid-level managersFostering a culture of inclusiveness, ownership and urgency with a focus on having fun

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Top Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

Technical project/program management experienceExperience interfacing with and presenting to senior and/or executive leadershipStrong communication and interpersonal skills.3+ years of experience leading teams to execute to safety, quality, delivery & cost commitments/targets3+ years of experience with critical business and financial acumen including risk, issue and opportunity management to drive performance

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

Current Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification5+ years of Technical project/program management experience3+ years of experience leading teams in the development program phase including capturing significant programmatic opportunities5+ years of experience demonstrating people management skills to include coaching, teaching, mentoringExperience leading projects or programs utilizing Earned Value management and RIO management to drive program performanceExperience leading and influencing cross-functional teamsActive Top Secret clearance
