The Boeing Company is currently seeking a Mid-Level System Design and Integration Specialist to join the team in Seattle, WA.

Join Boeing's Information Technology (IT) Organization as a Mid-Level System Design and Integration Specialist, where you will play a crucial role in supporting the CACTUS Product Development Team! CACTUS is an innovative content authoring, management, publishing, and delivery system designed for Boeing Global Services (BGS) Training and Professional Services.

Position Responsibilities:

Lead the design and development of comprehensive system architectures that meet business requirements and technical specifications

Coordinate and lead efforts to deploy software components in support of project timeline

Oversee the integration of various subsystems and components, ensuring seamless functionality and performance

Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including software developers, business stakeholders, and project managers, to gather requirements and define project scope

Conduct thorough system testing, validation, and verification to ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices

Identify and troubleshoot integration issues, providing effective solutions to maintain project schedules

Create and maintain detailed documentation of system designs, integration processes, and technical specifications

Mentor and guide junior team members, fostering a culture of knowledge sharing and continuous improvement

Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices to drive innovation within the organization

Provide product support assistance with users of the system

Support system upgrade (e.g. Alfresco, Wildfly, etc.)

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

3+ years of experience in development or system design and integration

3+ years of experience with SysML Open Source Project or UML Unified Modeling Language

3+ years of experience in following a software development life cycle (i.e., application development & support)

3+ years of experience with performing Windows 7 or higher, Windows Server 2012 or higher, or Linux (Oracle or Red Hat) 6 or higher system administration to include installation, configuration, and troubleshooting

3+ years of experience in installing software releases and patches

3+ years of experience with programming languages such as Python, Java, C, C++, and MATLAB

3+ years of experience with large-scale data processing, distributed computing, and cloud platforms

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

Bachelor’s degree or higher

Relevant certifications (e.g., PMP, Six Sigma, or equivalent)

Certifications in Windows and/or Linux System Administration

Experience with Agile methodologies and DevOps practices

Experience with cybersecurity principles and best practices

Experience with Alfresco or equivalent content management systems

Summary pay range: $108,800 – $147,200
