Boeing Defense, Space and Security (BDS) has an exciting Mid-Level Quality Engineer to join our Program Quality team supporting Quality Assurance Investigation (QAI) within the Mobility and Surveillance organization in Everett, WA or Tukwila, WA.

This position will focus on Quality in the production and test of KC-46 Aircraft throughout various stages of the value stream. The Quality Investigator works with cross-functional teams and collaborates with stakeholders and management to identify the root cause of defects, prevention of quality escapements, and develop product and process related initiatives.

This position will be required to work onsite at both the Everett, WA and Tukwila, WA facilities, with approximately 50% travel required between the two locations. Additional intermittent travel outside of the listed locations may be required, up to 10% of the time according to the business need.

Position Responsibilities:

Represents Quality function on team activities to integrate contractual and Boeing Quality Management System requirements into all aspects of proposals and program processes and documentation. Provides Quality interpretation of requirements.

Develops quality metrics, design and production certification plans for small programs to ensure compliance with contractual, Company and regulatory requirements.

Conducts capability assessments and process validations to support supplier selection activities.

Participates in various reviews to ensure quality attributes are incorporated into product designs.

Performs analysis, tests and process audits to ensure manufacturing and test readiness.

Provides material review dispositions for non-conformances.

Analyzes non-conformance trends to evaluate effectiveness of corrective actions.

Recommends corrective actions to address non-conformances.

Performs benchmarking and other forms of analysis to ensure specified processes capability levels are achieved.

Works under general direction.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the listed location.

This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

Bachelor's degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistr

3+ years of experience working with Quality and/or Safety Corrective Action/Preventative Action (CAPA), Root Cause Corrective Actions (RCCA).

3+ years of experience reading and interpreting engineering drawings and specifications

3+ years of e collecting data from multiple sources, performing analysis and presenting data?

3+ years of experience in a Quality job role

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

Aerospace, Fabrication, or Manufacturing experience

5 or more year's related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience

Experience with Quality Management Systems

Material Review Board (MRB) experience

Experience presenting and communicating to leadership

Typical Education & Experience:

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD, Master+3 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

Relocation:

Summary pay range: USD 94,350 - 127,650
