This is a fantastic opportunity to join a world class Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) team located in either Renton, WA or Tukwila, WA.
The selected candidate will implement compliance activities related to the management of Tanks and Sumps for US locations associated with the Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) 737 Program (i.e., Renton, North Boeing Field, Plant 2, South Park, and Moses Lake). Also, this role will coordinate implementation of the ISO 14001-certified Environmental Management System at Renton and North Boeing Field.
Position Responsibilities:
Assesses the impact of emerging environmental issues, legislation and regulations on company operations
Develops, implements and monitors environmental management systems, processes and programs
Acts as primary site interface with regulatory agencies
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.
This position must meet export control compliance requirements. Tomeet export control compliance requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.15 is required. “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
Bachelor’s degree or higher
3+ years of experience with environmental compliance, environmental program management
3+ years of experience in areas of air quality, stormwater, hazardous waste, industrial wastewater, spill prevention, storage tanks, environmental sampling, data analysis, and/or environmental reporting
3+ years of experience interacting with internal and external stakeholders
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, environmental science, chemistry, geology, or environmental management
Experience with environmental compliance and regulations
Environmental Permitting Experience
Typical Education/Experience:
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD, Master+3 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
