Find your future with us.The Mobility, Surveillance & Bombers (MS&B) Organization, a division of Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS), is seeking a Mechanical Systems Design & Analysis Engineer to join the E-7 Mechanical Systems Team in Tukwila, WA.
The E-7 program is the future Airborne Early Warning & Control (AEW&C) program to support the United States Air Force (USAF) with two rapid prototype aircraft. The Mechanical Systems team encompasses Environmental Control Systems, Fuel (Aerial Refueling), Oxygen & Hydraulics and Propulsion. This position is to primarily support Fuels, but opportunity exists to expand into the larger Mechanical Systems team.
Position Responsibilities:
Support the development and documentation of mechanical, fluid system, and thermal environment requirements to establish the system design.Assist in the development, maintenance, or modification of system, component, and installation designs/proposals to provide design documentation to downstream groups.Perform and document analyses to validate and verify that systems and components meet requirements and specifications.Contribute to supplier development, test, and production activities, providing direction to suppliers to optimize integration and achieve program goals.Support system component design/proposal standards to provide installation and detail documentation.Train others on relevant processes and technical content.Work under general direction.
This position will be 100% onsite in Tukwila, WA
This position requires the ability to obtain a US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering (with a focus on Mechanical, Civil, Aerospace Aeronautical or Material Sciences)2+ years of related work experience.
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Active U.S. Secret ClearanceStrong written, verbal communications and presentation skillsFamiliarity with FAA and Military CertificationProject Management Experience
