The Boeing Test & Evaluation (BT&E) Design Build team is seeking a Mechanical Systems Design and Analysis Engineer to join our team in Tukwila, WA. The team is responsible for design and build and performing design engineering for flight test and design modification and instrumentation of military and commercial derivative aircrafts.

BT&E is currently hiring for a broad range of experience levels including: Experienced and Senior level Mechanical Systems Design and Analysis Engineers.

Position Responsibilities Include:

Lead the development and documentation of Flight Test instrumentation and support designsLead the development, maintenance or modification of system, component and installation designs/proposals to provide design documentation to downstream groupsPerform and document analyses to validate and verify systems and components meet requirements and specificationsContribute to supplier development, test and production activities and directs the supplier to optimize integration and achieve program goalsSupport system components' designs/proposals standards to provide installation and detail documentationTrain others

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

The position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a “US Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. “US Person” includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science 3+ years of experience in design engineering3+ years of experience with a design tool (CAD package) like Siemens NX, CATIA, etc.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

5 or more years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experienceExperience working in multidisciplinary teams, a strong desire to work with technical and non-technical audiences, and be a self-starterExperience in Test and Evaluation EngineeringKnowledge of machine shop fabrication capabilities including conventional & CNC machining, EDM, fit/finish tools & processes, and QA inspection

Typical Education/Experience:

Experienced (Level 3)

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD, Master+3 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

Senior (Level 4)

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 9 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+4 years' related work experience, Master+7 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

Summary pay range for experienced level: $102,000 – $138,000

Summary pay range for senior level: $124,100 – $167,900
