The Boeing Commercial Airplane, BCA Systems Organization is seeking a high performing Mechanical HydraulicsEngineering Manager - BCA Systems (Level - K). This role will support the Mechanical-Hydraulic Systems organization by leading the Hydraulic Systems and Equipment Team at the Everett, Washington location.

Position Overview:

The manager will lead and motivate a team of employees involved in engineering and regulatory tasks related to various areas, including hydraulic system and equipment design, testing and analysis involving mechanical hardware, electronic hardware and software. These projects revolve around translating concepts and high-level requirements into specific hydraulic indication and control architectures, operational specifications, and the physical integration of components/systems into our complex airplanes. The team will handle aircraft systems throughout their entire life cycle, from initial concept development to certification, production, and in-service support.

Candidates for this position should be adept at providing technical and project management support to both Boeing employees and suppliers. They should also possess strong skills in leading process improvement initiatives and utilizing workflow management methods to manage team workload and resources effectively. Building and maintaining positive relationships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners, and direct reports is crucial for success in this role.

Position Responsibilities:

Lead, mentor and motivate a team of engineering and technical staff supporting the hydraulic system and equipment supporting 777X program.

The position includes responsibility for developing and executing project and process plans, implementing policies and procedures, setting operational goals for the team, and acquiring financial and technical resources.

Lead a culture of completing development programs on schedule with high safety and quality standards.

Validate and verify designs via laboratory and airplane testing.

Provides technical & project management oversight of suppliers.

Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, stakeholders, peers, suppliers and direct reports.

Provide oversight and approval of approaches to compliance with regulatory requirements and certification processes.

Drive process improvements and apply workflow management to balance team workload and resources.

Foster a culture of open communication, active listening, accountability, servant leadership and continuous professional development.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills / Experience):

Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering (with a focus in Electrical, Mechanical or Aeronautical), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement.

5+ years of experience in an engineering discipline.

2+ years of experience leading a project or a team.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills / Experience):

Experience in both development and sustaining programs.

Experience working with system engineering principles.

Experience working directly with Boeing suppliers and customers.

Experience leading and mentoring large engineering teams.

Experience with Hydraulic Systems, Controls and Equipment Design.

Experience with Agile project management methods.

Experience with model-based development tools & programming languages (CATIA, Matlab, Simulink, EASY5, etc).

Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities, resolve issues and meet schedules.

Strong planning, problem-solving, organizational and communication skills.

Knowledge of FAA and EASA certification processes.

$151,000 - $204,000
