Find your future with us.Boeing Commercial Airplanes(BCA) is seeking a Materials & Processes Manager (Level K) for the787 Wing, Empennage, & Systems Engineering Team to join the organization in North Charleston, SC.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate technical excellence in M&P engineering while developing, building, and motivating a team of ~15 engineers. They will foster strong collaboration with the entire 787 engineering team to accomplish the work transition from Everett to Charleston and ensure a psychologically safe environment where concerns can be raised freely. This leader will need to have the ability to understand, support training plans, and guide the team of engineers across a diverse set of skill sets including metals, composites, finishes, fasteners, and bushings/bearings
Position Responsibilities:
Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports
Leads team of multi-disciplinary Materials & Processes (M&P) team and provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes
Collaborates with the 787 Program Engineering leaders on work transition, top priorities, RIO management, and enablers
Ensures the M&P team is meeting commitments on design development, design reviews, liaison support, qualifications, and supply chain activities
Provides coaching, career development, and feedback to all engineers on team
Manages and executes to budget, staffing, and metrics that evaluate the health of the business
Inspires and empowers the team through collaboration, communication, and caring
Builds and nurtures a welcoming culture by seeking different perspectives, speaking up, and actively listening to teammates and stakeholders
