Find your future with us.Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is looking for a Materials Management and Transportation Manager to join our 737 Supply Chain Fulfillment Wings team in Renton, Washington.
The Materials Management and Transportation Manager will lead a team supporting both enterprise level initiatives and implementing high visibility fulfillment focused projects, develops and executes integrated organizational plans and solutions to enable business objectives.
This role requires partnership with Leaders across the enterprise and an active member of the 737 Supply Chain (Boeing Commercial Airplane) Fulfillment Wings team. This position will discover new opportunities and solutions for business problems by looking beyond current practices and using innovative thinking. This role requires blending strategic thinking with on-the-ground execution, enabling the organizations to improve systems, business policies, processes, standard work and efficiencies to operate as One Boeing Supply Chain.
The successful candidate is someone who can join and lead teams, understand the strategic aspects of the organization and associated initiatives, work in a complex organization, and can demonstrate their knowledge of the company and multiple functional subject areas to meet supply chain management goals and our internal and external customers’ expectations. Candidates must be able to translate strategic goals into tactical actions that are understandable to the team.
Our team is currently hiring a Level K Materials Management and Transportation Manager.
Position Responsibilities:
Manages and integrates employees’ activities across more than one area in materials management and transportationDevelops and executes project and process plans, implements policies and procedures and sets operational goalsAcquires resources for projects and processes, provides technical management of suppliers and leads process improvementsDevelops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reportsProvides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processesManages, develops and motivates employeesPossesses a mindset of safety and quality; influences the team to exhibit Boeing Values and Behaviors
Boeing First-Line Leader Assessment: To be considered for this position you will be required to complete an assessment as part of the selection process. Failure to complete this assessment will remove you from consideration.
This position is expected to be 100% onsite.  The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills / Experience):
5+ years of experience with Supplier Management, Supply Chain and/or Procurement practices and processesCandidates must have at least one year of experience in a leadership role (team leader, temp manager, large scale cross functional project/program management, or formal manager experience) OR have completed Boeing internal course “Exploring Leadership.”3+ years of experience in materials management and/or supply chain management3+ years of experience developing and maintaining relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills / Experience):
Bachelor’s Degree or Advanced Degree5+ years of experience demonstrating exceptional business, analytical, and problem-solving skills5+ years of experience in Microsoft Office products5+ years of experience with ERP systems such as ERPLN and/or SAP3+ years leading critical projectsExperience with safety and quality processesExperience working in a warehouse environmentAerospace or manufacturing experienceSelf-motivated, works well independently
