Find your future with us.Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is looking for Materials Management and Transportation Manager (Level M) to join our 737 Fulfillment team in Renton, WA.
The 737 Fulfillment Manager will lead a team supporting both enterprise level initiatives and implementing high visibility supply chain focused projects, develops and executes integrated organizational plans and solutions to enable business objectives.
The successful candidate is someone who can join and lead teams, understand the strategic aspects of the organization and associated initiatives, work in a complex organization, and can demonstrate their knowledge of the company and multiple functional subject areas to meet supply chain management goals and our internal and external customers’ expectations. Candidates must be able to translate strategic goals into tactical actions that are understandable to the team. The candidate must be willing to work second shift.
Position Responsibilities
Manages and integrates employee and mid-level manager activities across more than one area in materials management and transportation. Develops and executes integrated organizational plans, policies and procedures and guides the development of business and technical strategies, goals, objectives. Acquires resources for organizational activities, provides technical management of suppliers and leads process improvements. Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports. Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes. Manages develops and motivates employees and mid-level managers.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills / Experience):
3+ years of experience within the Manufacturing Operations function (Shop Floor Manufacturing Operations, Production Engineering, Industrial Engineering or Supply Chain Management3+ years of experience managing or leading people or teams, preferably leading both salary and hourly personnel3+ years of experience leading or managing projects that involved cross-functional or cross-business unit teams3+ years of experience as a proven leader with strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills3+ years of experience with Microsoft Office Products such as Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, and WordBachelor's degree (or higher)3+ years of experience leading teams in a formal and/or informal leadership role3+ years of experience using strong analytical and problem-solving skills3+ years of experience using project management methodologies, including developing project plans, performance management, and managing issues and risks
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills / Experience):
5+ years of experience in Inventory Management or supply chain processes and techniquesExperience with Problem Solving Methodologies3 + years of experience in Supply Chain Management and Procurement work experience and/or general Business Operations & Strategy5+ years of experience with warehousing and logistics5+ years of experience in a role that involves strategic planning and risk identification5+ years of experience leading or managing process improvement projects
