The Boeing Test & Evaluation (BT&E) organization has an opening for a Manufacturing Manager. This opening will be on 1st Shift and will involve leading a team in Seattle, WA supporting the 2-10 Machine Shop. This is an exciting opportunity to manage, develop, and motivate a high-performing team of Mechanics responsible for the fabrication and assembly of a wide variety of parts supporting both Lab Test and Flight Test operations.

Position Responsibilities:

Manages employees performing activities in multiple manufacturing disciplines

Develops and executes business plans, policies and procedures and develops organizational and technical strategies

Acquires resources, provides technical management of suppliers and leads process improvements

Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports

Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes

Manages, develops, and motivates employees

Oversight and ownership to an injury free and First Time Quality culture

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

3+ year of experience in a manufacturing environment

3+ years of experience working with collective bargaining unit employees and an hourly union-represented workforce

1 + years of experience using software applications for internet navigation, email, Microsoft Suite and/or other specialized computer applications

3 + years of experience in a leadership role, leading teams or projects to successful completion.

Able to work weekend overtime on a rotational basis (Approximately 3 times a year)

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

Leadership (Formal/Informal) experience

Experience managing Key Performance Indicators within Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost and Manufacturing data

Bachelor’s degree in business or a technical related field

Experience working with represented employees, manufacturing operations and familiarity with project management best practices

Familiarity with Lab Test and/or Flight Test Operations is a plus but not required

Summary Pay Range Level K: $119,000 – $161,000
