Job Description

Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is seeking highly motivated, lean-focused, and passionate problem solvers to join our team as Lean Practitioners supporting BCAFabrication in Auburn and Puyallup WA.

Our team is currently hiring for a range of experience levels including; Experienced and Senior Level Lean Practitioners.

In this role, you will drive continuous improvement and operational excellence by implementing lean initiatives that eliminate waste, enhance quality, and reduce process flow times. Your work will directly contribute to achieving production rate increases while maintaining the highest standards of safety and quality.

Key Responsibilities:

Instructs others in continuous improvement tools and principles

Develops and updates instructional materials

Mentors future instructors and less experienced practitioners

Works with internal or external customers

Leads and facilitates complex process improvement efforts

Identifies risks and opportunities for improvement

Creates enhancements to existing improvement tools

Supports the development and deployment of new tools

Supports business acquisition. Participates in the evaluation process.

Specific Responsibilities:

Coach, lead, and partner with manufacturing, functional support, and management on problem-solving activities at the minimum up to Director Leader level

Lead or facilitate Lean workshops such as Accelerated Improvement Workshops (AIW), Value Stream Mapping (VSM), 3P, and Autonomous Maintenance Workshops (AMW)

Lead project management activities and drive lean process improvement projects

Apply and teach BPS standards to others

Demonstrate influence across cross-functional teams

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

3+ years of experience in Aerospace, Fabrication, or manufacturing environment

3+ years of experience using LEAN Manufacturing and/or Continuous Improvement practices and tools in the workplace

1+ years of experience working in cross-functional teams

1+ years of experience in a role which required strong interpersonal and communication skills

1+ years of experience using strong analytical and problem solving skills

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

5+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience

5+ years of experience implementing lean principles

3+ years of experience teaching Lean tools and concepts

1+ years of experience utilizing systematic problem solving tools (BPSM/RSPS)

1+ years of experience using Oobeya or other site level strategic planning tools

Boeing Lean Tool Certifications (PARL: BPSM, AIW, VSM, 3P…)

Typical Education/Experience:

Experienced (Level 3)

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 6 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Master+4 years' related work experience, 10 years' related work experience, etc.).

Senior (Level 4)

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 10 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Master+8 years' related work experience, 14 years' related work experience, etc.).

Shift:

This role is primarily 1st shift; however, there may be additional shift requirements to support program objectives.

Summary pay range: Level 3, $108,900 - $133,100

Summary pay range: Level 4, $132,300 - $161,700
